One step that can be taken to honor workers in different types of situations is to take advantage of custom service pins, lapel pins that can be utilized in a number of different ways. These types of lapel pins can prove to be meaningful and enduring ways of honoring employees in a variety of different situations.
Custom Years of Service Pins
A very important way in which custom lapel pins can be utilized in a business setting is to honor a worker’s years of service. This can be accomplished in a number of different ways.
A business might want to consider having some type of annual dinner or other function. During the event, the owner or a manger can distribute custom designed years of service pins to the company’s employees. (There is nothing that precludes having unique pins designed for people of any service year. There are derivations of these pins that can be designed in an attractive and yet affordable manner.)
Custom Achievement or Accomplishment Lapel Pins
In addition to years of service pins, a business might want to consider giving out lapel pins for particular achievements. These can be done on an annual basis during the type of function mentioned a moment ago. However, they can also be distributed throughout the year when something of note occurs.
Each month, a business could bestow a lapel pin on the employee who tops the sales roster. A pin could be awarded at certain times during the year based on client or customer recruitment.

Businesses in the 21st century are not nearly as inclined to consistently make as big a deal over the retirement of a team member as was the case 30 years ago. Part of the reason is because people are not staying with one employer for as much of his of her career as had been the case a few decades ago.
Nonetheless, when a business does have someone that is retiring, commemorating and celebrating his or her accomplishment is a proper plan. A business need not go overboard in celebrating a retirement. Indeed, gathering for a special meal, with coworkers and perhaps others (like family members) providing something in the way of tributes can be an enjoyable way of sending an employee off to retirement.
A business can present a custom made lapel pin as part of the retirement sendoff celebration. The pin is likely to prove to be something that a retired employee will enjoy having into the future. Of course, a retirement pin can be part of a presentation made to the worker that might include some other items as well.
Company Anniversary Commemorative Pins
Not only can commemorative pins be employee focused, they can be utilized to celebrate companywide events as well. By way of example, some businesses are keen on celebrating anniversaries of when the enterprise went into operation. This is particularly the case with new ventures, where getting through those early times is a major accomplishment in and of itself. Anniversary celebrations are also fairly commonplace among older companies as well.
With each anniversary celebration, employees can be provided with a uniquely crafted lapel pin to commemorate the occasion. Some employees will even enjoy the process of collecting these pins through the years.
Company anniversary commemorative pins can also be provided to certain clients and customers. They can also be presented to vendors associated with the enterprise on the occasion of its anniversary.
Business Milestone Commemorative Pins
A well run business sets different milestones. This certainly is the case with new ventures that tend to be highly focused on milestone achievements. However, accomplishing milestones is not just an activity of businesses in their youth.
Another companywide way in which customized pins can be used is to celebrate success in achieving some sort of milestone. For example, a customized lapel pin can be created and distributed when a milestone involving customer or client total is met. Achieving a companywide sales goal is another example of a milestone for which a commemorative pin might be created.
Children of Employees
Kids like things like pins. With this in mind, a business may want to consider creating custom pins from time to time that will be given to children of employees. As mentioned previously, some businesses have annual events like company picnics. This type of gathering is an opportune time to give specially made pins to employee’s children. Taking this step is a solid way of enhancing goodwill between a company and its team of employees. It can also enhance positive feelings family members have about an employer. In short, it is relatively simple and inexpensive step that can accomplish some important objectives.
