Hello World! Welcome Friends! There are a lot of reasons you might want to have better control over the light in your garden. For one, many plants need a specific amount of light, and will suffer tremendously if they don’t get it, or if they get too much. You might also want to create shadier parts and sunnier parts, so that you can have different plants all working together and each being as happy as possible. Or you might want to play with the light for aesthetic reasons: to create interesting shapes and shadows, or just to provide the garden with distinct spaces dotted here and there. Let’s take a look at how you might do all this.
Install A Roofed Patio Or Awning
Perhaps you merely want to provide some shade for the people who will visit your garden, and you’d quite like somewhere you can sit in the summer without being burned. In that case, the best option might be to simply install a roofed patio or an awning in your back garden, which will be an effective way to do exactly that. With quality Skillion patios, you can create what is essentially a little living space outdoors, and so be able to enjoy your garden all year round. In many cases, a simple awning may do the trick as well.
Plant Some Trees
One great way to create some shade for some of your more sun-shy plants is to plant a tree directly next to them, in such a way that they are going to throw shade over those plants for most of the day. By being careful about where you plant them, and paying close attention to the sun’s track across the sky as it relates to your patch, you will find that you can be very clever about giving your plants exactly the amount of shade they prefer. Having a few trees dotted around is also just a wonderful way to improve the wildlife in your garden, and is aesthetically pleasing too.
Use Night Lights
There are other reasons you might want to be able to control the light, and one of them might be that you want to be able to see well in the dark, so that you can spend evenings in the garden. Obviously enough, the solution there is to use some lights, which you can install in your garden very easily. You can get solar-powered ones these days which store up the energy during the day very effectively, for use later at night.
Plot Out Your Plants Carefully
If you are primarily trying to make sure that your plants are getting the light levels they need, then the most important thing is to make sure that you plot out where they are each going to go as carefully as possible. If you do that, you can make sure that each is in a spot which will be conducive to their growth, and that is the most important thing of all.
