Hello World! Welcome Friends! For many years, the coal, nuclear, and oil industries have been great sources of electricity. They kept large cities from going out of power and gave some people heavy labor jobs with relatively little pay. Albeit slow, common sources of energy have been tremendously losing their relevance as our civilization progresses.
Renewable energy sources have been more accessible as the world begins to open its eyes towards the devastating effects of Climate Change. This would be a greater chance to lessen carbon emissions. Thus, speeding up the healing process of the Earth’s Ozone Layer. Here are some reasons why people turn to eco-friendly energy sources:
Affordable Bills
In recent years, renewable energy has become more accessible and affordable compared to fossil fuel and coal power plants. More investors have been encouraged to finance renewable energy power plants, which drive its price down. This is good news to people, making renewable energy sources more attractive. In fact, 80% of consumers would gladly make the switch from their traditional energy source to an eco-friendly energy source for this reason.
Additionally, one must realize that affordable electricity bills allow people to enjoy a large percentage of their incomes. In the future, this would enable faster economic growth. Of course, the world would become a better place as carbon emissions are minimized. We’d be enjoying nature’s full resources and benefits without having to worry about sustainability and harm done to the environment.
More Jobs for People
More people with expertise relating to electricity, technology, and computers would most likely land a full-time job in an environmentally friendly power plant. It has been proven that compared to coal and fossil fuel power plants, more people are required to run an eco-friendly power plant. Thus, creating more jobs for more people.
This means so much to a country’s economic state. It helps lessen the unemployment rate, and more money is being brought to the government to be also used for the betterment of life in a particular country in general.
Durability and Dependability
It is worth noting that the materials used in making solar panels or wind and water turbines, or geothermal power plants, are all high quality. The modernization of technology has allowed machines to become more durable and reliable. This means that fewer major failures would likely take place.
Should a significant failure occur, say, for example, in a solar power plant, the system set by the developers would make sure not to cut off power for an entire region since other panels are still working. Compared to significant damage in coal or nuclear power plants, the damage from these traditional electricity sources deals a tremendous amount of catastrophe to its nearby place, just like in Fukushima, Japan, in 2011 after a great earthquake.
Infinite Sources of Energy
People have been educated that renewable energy is, in fact, inexhaustible. The Sun would still be shining for another five (5) billion years; the wind won’t stop moving unless the Earth stops its rotation and revolution, waters in rivers and falls would surely not stop so long as the precipitation process is there. The Earth’s core would still burn for the next ninety-one (91) billion years! It would be impossible if people can exhaust those energies in a blink of an eye!
Everybody’s dream would be realized, at last: a world where people are living healthily with squeaky clean surroundings and breathable fresh air. Problems with regards to toxic carbon emission would turn out to be just a thing in the past. Indeed, it is very encouraging to switch to these kinds of energy sources.
Environmental Advantages
This is a no-brainer. The power plants used to harness renewable energies are utterly eco-friendly. While it is true that Geothermal Power Plants release carbon dioxide, it is still a far better pick than nuclear and coal power plants. In no time, a cleaner and greener Earth can be fully realized.
The fight against Climate Change would become easier as more people turn to a renewable source of energy. The movement towards a greener and healthier Earth would likely become more substantial and louder, considering that people are becoming more aware of what is happening to the surroundings.
In Conclusion
People switching to these eco-friendly energy sources is a delightful sight to see. However, there’s still much work to be done before finally materializing the world all people dream about. It is cliche, but it is still absolutely right to say that one must first change himself before changing the world.
In changing oneself, start by getting rid of the habits that inflict harm or destruction to the environment. This would be a great leap towards a change of attitude. Then, social chain reaction would happen, and the effort will later be the effort of all.
