Hello World! Welcome Friends! Goodness, Christmas is next week! Are you ready? I have just a few presents to buy and then of course a grocery store run. I’m really hoping to get everything finished up this weekend because I want to give the house a good, deep clean. And, then do some serious relaxing!
Today I’m sharing my Family Room decked out for Christmas as well as a few vignettes. This year I’ve really scaled back my decorating. It could be that my mind is on room makeovers and not holiday decor. In fact, the Dining Room tree never got put up because I’ve started painting that space and just did not wrap it up in time to get it decorated. There’s always next year. I could have never decorated the Family Room tree without my faithful helpers. Mr. Dedicated was in charge of setting up the big tree and decorating the tippy top with Little Dedicated in charge of the bottom. It was definitely a team effort.
These angels are stationed on the chest in the first section of the Entry Hall. Simple and pretty.
Even the coat closet got a little Christmas love. In the past, that china hutch would have been overflowing with Christmas. This year, I kept it “simple” with elegant blue and white.
A simple hearth and mantel decor so that the tree can take center stage. All of our stockings were made by my Mom years ago. They are nice and big, perfect for holding a lot of stocking stuffers.
The decor in the Family Room is Christmas traditional with the majority of our special family ornaments on the Family Room tree.
This little scene is on the sideboard in my breakfast room.
This is a glass Christmas tree my Mom had for years that she gave me. She used to fill it with candy when I was a young girl. I fill it with beads, because I would eat the candy. LOL
Well, that’s it for the Family Room. On Monday I will share Chloe’s room decorated for Christmas.
