Hello World! Welcome Friends! Today’s post is all about that wonderful feeling of moving into a New Home.
Celebrating a New Home
There is nothing more wonderful to celebrate than moving into a new home. It makes you want to celebrate, especially if you have lived in property rentals all your life. So the first thing we do is send out about 25 invitations to family, friends, and work associates to join in and celebrate moving in. Not everyone celebrates their new home in the same way. For example, a friend celebrated their new home by having a house blessing party. His wife said it was like a baby shower, but for the house. Regardless of how you celebrate the new house, you can offer special food and drinks to your guests and have one or two people give a guided tour through the house. To all those who helped you unpack, send them a thank you note. Make sure you don’t let the kids jump on the new mattresses like a Tuft and Needle vs Purple competition. The kids will understand. Make sure the kids have extra cookies while the guests are there.
Safety, Security, and Care
Having a new home is like being in the safest place. Knowing that you have more responsibility to keep the house in tip-top shape is a good feeling, but feeling more secure with your preferred security system and all the internet of things that bring your home into the modern world is fantastic. One of the treasures of a new home is a dedicated garden that you can spend time in and grow as many exotic flowers in it that you want. Even if you don’t have a green thumb, being able to work in the shade or out in the open air is a luxury. Now your friends and family can enjoy the open air of having a back patio and an awning which keeps them fresh in the summer or out of the cold in the winter. It is another comfort of having planned your home well for family and friends to enjoy.
Comforts of Choice
Not everyone who has a new home wants to have a garden in their back yard or fruit trees, but if you do want to have them, you should have enough space that you can easily plant them as a seasonal treat. Having fresh flowers and shrubs around the home is part of having a great home, too. Whether you choose roses, chrysanthemum, daylilies, or crocuses, you’ll be glad you spent time planting them. Small flowers and bushes along walking paths in the back and front yards can add an aesthetic quality to your home that will have cars slowing down as they pass your front lawn.
Enjoy the Game Room
Everyone wants a game room, and it is always challenging to make the right combination of things to put in it. You could start with a gandy pool table found on Shoppok as a pool table can also be used for ping pong. Of course, you have to have a big-screen TV for watching movies as well as a foosball table for fun and competitive games that kids and grownups enjoy playing. A few bean bags scattered throughout the game room is an excellent addition for guests too sit on while enjoying a movie or just chatting. And don’t forget a popcorn popper on the counter with peanuts and trail mix for the guests. I don’t know of very many guests who would turn down fresh kettle corn..
Pool and Spa or Barbecue Pit
If you plan well, you can have both a spa and a pool in the backyard. The pool, of course, needs to be Olympic-size else the kids will have to travel down to the YMCA. The sauna is a great addition, especially after a long day at the office or for a time to relax and do some aromatherapy. The barbecue pit is a must-have for summer parties as well as evenings when you want to grill a few chicken pieces or ribs. If you are lucky to have a party house, you can also have a small fridge to store refreshments like Gatorade or sparkling water.
Home, Home On the Range
Having your own home is an excellent cause for celebration. Everything in the house is chosen for a purpose. Your choices are for your family or to entertain guests. You don’t have to think about returning stuff to the place where you rented it or leased it. It’s home and it’s yours. If it is broken, all you need to do is replace it and not have to worry about explaining to the owner what happened.
