Hello World! Welcome Friends! We all want to have the most beautiful lawn on the block, but having a gorgeous yard takes a lot of time, and sometimes money. Are there ways to make your lawn a thing of beauty without having to devote all your spare time and spend a fortune? You bet!
Here’s a few tips to make your lawn beautiful the affordable and easy way.
Look Out for Weeds
One of the main things that makes a lawn look scraggly and unkempt, especially in the Spring and early Summer months, are weeds. Those pesky things that can spring up overnight and take over any garden or lawn space. It seems like no matter how much you try to beat them back, they just keep coming. If you’re not a fan of chemical products and sprays, and want to keep them at bay the natural way, you may be finding it really difficult.
Luckily, there are several ways to keep those weeds at bay that don’t cost a fortune. Some of these methods include all-natural remedies and tools to help you combat pesky weeds. You can also hire a weed control service to take care of them for you; most of these reputable weed control companies have reasonable rates and can take care of the weeds so you don’t have to worry about it.
Don’t let weeds overtake your beautiful flowers, plants and grass. Get rid of them!
Grass Maintenance
Keeping your grass maintained is a big step in having a beautiful lawn. However, depending on the type of grass you have and how fast it grows, you may find it hard to keep up with the grueling schedule of mowing that your yard requires. Some types of grass grow so fast that you may have to mow your lawn 30-50 times a year!
Hiring a service, or a neighborhood teenager looking to make some money is always a sound idea, but if you’re more of a do-it-yourself type person, look into ways to minimize the amount of time you have to spend mowing. A more efficient mower, for example, or a riding mower so that you don’t have to push yours around for hours. They can cover more ground in much shorter time. And if you’re just planting your lawn, choose a type of grass/sod that is regional to your area and won’t grow quite so fast. This will severely cut down on the time you spend mowing.
Flowers and Plants
Planting seasonal, regional plants and flowers that are easy to grow, colorful and don’t require tons of upkeep are a great idea. Visit your local plant store and research which types are hearty and can survive in the type of climate you live in. You’ll need to do a little landscape planning to determine which flowers should be planted where, and pay close attention to which plants are perennial, annual, etc. There needs so be some planning involved.
With just a little bit of know-how, you can have a beautiful garden and lawn, the affordable and convenient way!
