Hello World! Are there any bugs that you are afraid of? Give you the creepy crawlies? I’m not too afraid of bugs, spiders, bees, however if there is a snake around, you can be sure I won’t let it stay too long. This comes from growing up in Southeast Texas where you might run into a snake or two and a Mother who hated snakes. I think I inherited that quality from her. But, bugs don’t really bother me too much. Not that I want to keep any as pets, but they don’t give me a huge fright. However, I have a close friend who is petrified of spiders.
Okay, if I saw the above, I might get a little freaked out. I can honestly say I have never seen one of these lovelies in person; and I’m quite happy about that.
Not to really send you over the edge, but you should take a look at this article I just read about world’s scariest bugs. Orkin gives such a great breakdown of the world’s scariest bugs; what they look like, main characteristics, and if they are deadly for humans. They really don’t want to meet up with us as much as we don’t want to meet up with them.
So, what was the sage advice when encountering scary looking bugs? Take a picture and keep your hands to your self! Amen to that one. The Orkin Ecologist site is a fantastic educational resource for both the novice and experienced science lovers. You should really check it out. Some really interesting information.
And, you know of course the Okin Ecologist can be found on https://www.facebook.com/TheOrkinEcologist. And, you can find them here as well http://www.pinterest.com/orkin. Feel free to like and follow along to learn more about the bugs we share the world with.
