Hello World! Happy Wednesday to everyone. Yesterday we said goodbye to our sweet niece, Gabriella who is heading off to college. So, today we have her little brother Grant with us so he won’t miss Gabriella too much. The Dedicated Daughter is in heaven because she has professed that Grant is indeed her favorite cousin.
For breakfast today we had Banana Bread and strawberries. I thought I would share with you this particular Banana Bread recipe. Flour Me With Love was kind enough to share her Banana Bread recipe. Here is another place for baked goods and maui banana bread.
Banana Bread
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease a 9 x 5 pan.
In a small bowl combine the milk and lemon juice; set aside.
Cream together the butter, vanilla and brown sugar.
Beat in the eggs.
Stir in one cup of the flour.
Then mix in the sour milk and mashed bananas.
Stir in the other cup of flour, baking soda and salt.
Mix until combined; do not over mix! Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 55-60 minutes; until golden brown.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes, remove from pan then slice.
Put some butter on and enjoy!
It has been a great hit! Really easy to make and the smell while it is baking is perfect. As always, thank you for the visit. Make it Pretty Monday is still live. To join in the fun, click here. Wishing all a grand day and remember to be kind to one another.
Toodles,

Nothing smells better in the fall and winter months than banana bread baking. It is a favorite of ours. My mother-in-law used to make it quite often all throughout the year.

I think I may be making this for breakfast this weekend! Looks so good. I love that it uses brown sugar instead of white…only because I am out of white sugar and hoping to put off going to the store.
