Hello World! Welcome Friends! Emigration. The chance to fly away and create a new life somewhere else in the world. It’s the chance to live a dream and live in a way that changes everything about who you are. You might move for a job, for love or simply just to feel another kind of sand between your toes.
There are many reasons to emigrate to another part of the world, but you have to be sure you’re ready before you do go. How do you know you’re cut out for a new life? Well, here’s five ways to tell if it’s for you.
You Know It’ll Be Hard
The process of migration is a challenge. Before you even consider that you have to get on a plane and move to another country, you have to get through the visa process and jump every single hoop that it offers you. This is what happens BEFORE you get out there, but there are even more changes and challenges to expect when you move abroad. Acknowledging the difficulties that you might face is essential, and approaching those difficulties with the right attitude even more so.
You Are Happy To Go It Alone
Most people who emigrate don’t know anyone in their new home. They contact a long-distance moving company and get the ball rolling with no friends waiting for them at the other side. The good news is that we are now equipped with the internet. We can meet and make new friends, find jobs and get to know the real estate agents all from a distance! If you’re happy to go alone, knowing you’re leaving all your friends and family at home for the home or something new, then you are ready for emigration. It’s not always rose-tinted, so you have to be prepared for anything.
You See The Bigger Picture
Your job where you are? It’s not bringing you joy. Your relationships aren’t solid. You have a bright future but where you are dulls the shine. Moving abroad changes that. You can move confidently, knowing that you are doing the right thing and are able to see the bigger picture of how much richer your life will be when you go.
You’re Done With The Weather/Politics/People
Most of the time, people decide to explore a new place because they’re not feeling satisfied where they are. They know that there is a whole world out there to explore, and they want to go and explore it. Once they get a taste of a new area to move to, they see their home country in a different light: it’s not so nice anymore. The weather is depressing, and you’ve had enough of the weird politics that is designed for division. It’s time to move.
There’s No Future
Lastly, you know you’re ready for migration when you cannot see a future where you are right now. You know it’s time to make the leap, and you’re prepared to do it. The bags are being packed, and the money is being saved: let’s get moving!

Toodles,
[…] First thing’s first — why do you want to move abroad? Once you’ve got your reason, you’ll have a better idea of which place would be the right option for you, or perhaps you’ll find that what you’re looking for is a vacation rather than a fully-fledged move. But let’s say you do want to move. Is it for work purposes? The weather? Just to have a change of scene? All of these things will impact your decision-making process. Of course, you don’t need to overthink it — you could go just because you want an adventure! […]
