Hello World! Welcome Friends! Lately I have noticed that whenever I have had store bought bread that my system just wasn’t happy. Granted, we don’t eat sandwiches very often, but a couple of times a week I love to have a piece of toast with avocado or peanut butter on top. But, my tummy hasn’t enjoyed my little bread treats. Store bought bread these days is really garbage. It takes forever for a loaf of bread to go bad. That tells me they are loaded with chemicals…not good, not good. With an upset tummy, I began a quest to find a good tasting, healthy bread that I could bake and my tummy would appreciate. I am pleased to tell you, I have found it! Ambitious Kitchen is the spot I landed and found this amazing and delicious bread recipe.
Soft Seedy Sandwich Bread
Isn’t she gorgeous? Also, Greg and Chloe loved this as well making it a win for the family!
Ingredients
Most of the ingredients I had on hand. This recipe is chock full of good things. The one ingredient you will notice that it doesn’t have is sugar!
My favorite process by far is kneading the dough. There is nothing better than getting some tension out on some dough. LOL
Egg Wash & Toppings
The egg wash with the toppings is the last step before heading to the oven.
This was the only step I didn’t like. The recipe calls for a 2 hour cool so that the texture doesn’t change. We had a hard time passing by the loaf without cutting into the warm bread and putting some butter on a slice or two.
Gorgeous!
Also, it would make a great welcome to the neighborhood gift along with a pretty basket, tea towel and flowers.
We have noshed on this bread now for several days and I’m glad to report my tummy has not gotten irritated at all!! I suspect I will be baking a loaf every week. I would love to know if you tried the recipe.
