Hello World! Welcome Friends! Before we dive head first into all things Christmas, I thought I would share my Fall decor that is scattered around the house. I don’t have a lot of Fall decor, but what I have I adore. Probably the reason for my lack of Fall decor is that when I think of Fall, I think of heading out of the house. The temperatures are somewhat cooler and I can’t think of a better place than to be outside. So, this year, I decided to move the majority of my Fall decor outside. You’ll see what I mean a little later on. But, for now, it’s A Touch of Fall.
I didn’t change out the wreath from last year or the year before that as a matter of fact. I just fluffed her up a bit. I do believe that next year a new Fall wreath might be in store. For those of you that have been around awhile, you will remember that I made this wreath back in 2018! I’m not a crafty person, so this was a little accomplishment for me! The wreath was featured in my Simple Fall Porch post.
Let’s back up a bit to give you a shot of my itty, bitty porch.
Below is sweet, Misty waiting for me to come inside. She probably wants me to feed her. Isn’t that usually the case with our fur-babies? Always on the lookout for food.
I have good news for you on my office makeover. It is finished! I need to give her a good cleaning, clean off my desk and style her a bit. I’m hoping I can show you the finished space Thanksgiving week.
The only thing Fall in the Entry Hall is this pretty pumpkin.
I’m trying really hard to not “clutter” up my spaces. Trust me, this is quite the feat. But, Christmas is coming and I will give myself permission to go overboard.
I love the orange against the blue door. And, I’m still loving the bright green inside of the china hutch.
Let’s head outside to the back patio. This is my favorite place to have lunch with my family when the weather cools down.
The table is set for a little soup and salad meal. Our favorite go to Fall Soup is Sausage & Lentil Soup. Oh, so good!
We are in desperate need of a new outdoor dining set. We’ve had this one since 2012! The umbrella stand bit the dust a couple of months ago, so we moved the table under the covered portion of the patio.
You know the blue and white had to make an appearance!
I just happened to catch the sun dappling through our large Cypress tree. The backyard was so pretty bathed in sunlight.
Back to the mantel and hearth.
Little Cozi was one happy kitty. She loves exploring when I’m outside with her.
I’ll leave you with a couple more shots of the sun-bathed backyard.
Now, it’s time to get this house decorated for Christmas. We have 2 trees that are already up and partially decorated. The reason for the early start is because I’m part of a Christmas Home Tour and the images need to be turned in early. So, I’m debating on which space or spaces to use for the tour. In the past, I like to give each room its designated post. We’ll see how that goes this year. We have plans to put the big tree up (14 ft.) this coming Saturday. This tree is a family decorating adventure. Greg decorates the top, I’m the middle and Chloe is in charge of the bottom. This tree will not be on the Christmas Home Tour Hop that I’m taking part in, but it will have its own post.
And, don’t forget, I will be sharing my office makeover very soon! If you missed the Laundry Room Reveal, click HERE to head over to see my tiny, but very functional space!

Everything is just lovely. I confess I do zero decorating for autumn, in fact to be honest Christmas is the only thing I really break out any special decorations for but I love seeing other people’s! Using the same wreath is just good for the planet so I say keep fluffing it up for as long as possible, it looks fabulous!

That’s a perfect amount of fall touches, Kathryn! Your outdoor covered patio must be protected from strong winds, otherwise you wouldn’t have the decor on the mantel. It’s very pretty, another room!
I am whittling away the boxes here in our new home, and thinking about Christmas too. Seems it’s always more than one task simultaneously. I hope things slow down sometime soon.
Cheers to a Happy Thanksgiving and good health throughout the holidays to you and your family!
