Hello World! Happy Friday! I know, I know, where have I been all week, you may ask? I’m working on a big staining project. You read right. Staining, not painting. Today’s post is short and sweet so I can get back to the task at hand.
The Dedicated Daughter, like most little girls, loves to color. However, her collection of markers seemed to be growing with no solution for storage that she could open on her own. We’ve all probably used the dishwasher packets that come in little tubs; well I was about to throw one out the other day when I stopped myself and decided this was to be the marker bucket.
It started out looking like a normal little bucket, but with a little chalk paint, some bling and of course her favorite butterfly ribbon we have the pretty marker bucket.
A pretty happy little girl who now can open her marker bucket and color or marker (as she says) to her heart’s content. Oh, the quiet simplicities of home.
What have you repurposed lately? Check back next week for the big stain reveal. And, the Make it Pretty Monday party is still going strong. Click here if you want to join in the bash. Wishing all a grand day and weekend. Remember to be kind to one another.
Toodles,
Kathryn

I recently re-painted a candlestick holder with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in a lovely Robin's Egg Blue. I didn't take any before photos but I will add it to your "Make It Pretty Monday" this week.
Happy staining and have a great weekend!

So sweet! Your daughter is a doll and that is a great use for a plastic container that too many people just toss out!

Super idea. My most recent re-purpose was an olive jar-turned-vase.
