Similar in principle to insulating walls and floors, designers also suggest using insulating window systems. The traditional single-glass windows allow the infrared waves to pass through. This leads to a significant loss of heat during winters and excessive heating during summers. On the contrary, using a double-glass window reduces the transfer of IR waves, thus supporting the temperature inside the home.
Fiberglass Doors and Window Panels Improve Insulation
Conventional materials used to make doors and windows, such as wood and steel are least effective in preventing heat loss. This significantly results in increasing the load on air-conditioning and heating systems. However, a smarter solution to prevent heat loss through these large fixtures is to replace the material and using fiberglass. Evidently, fiberglass is known to be more resilient to conducting heat, thus, preventing the loss of energy from any home.
