Why The Reviews Love Them:
They are particularly familiar with the move between Washington and Los Angeles, and anyone moving between these two areas are exceptionally impressed.
The main thing of note in their reviews is that they have an exceptional level of care, particularly with fragile items.
2. All N 1 Stop
These folks have three bases: Hyattsville, MD, Annapolis, MD, and Washington, DC. This gives them a pretty good starting range to move house-loads of furniture all over the country.
Why The Reviews Love Them:
One of the things that is consistently mentioned is how the entire team works together to create a seamless experience. They are praised for consistent communication with their clients, so one would have to assume that the excellent teamwork is also the result of a business culture that places communication skills as a highly desirable skill.
You, of course, have many reviews crediting the movers care in moving delicate or treasured items, but one would expect to see that with any moving company that is one of DC’s top moving companies in 2019.
Of course, new companies can escape with nothing but 5-star reviews, however what is important when clients aren’t happy is how their complaints or concerns are dealt with. Judging by the online complaints, All N 1 Stop prides themselves of a high degree of transparency, with the owner responding politely and professionally to every negative comment.
The other outstanding mention is that they seem to be a very adaptable and flexible crew – which is something you really only see when you have people who are knowledgeable and confident, and used to working with each other.

3. Mic’s Moving Company

At this stage they do not do relocations across country, but they do long distance moves along the east coast with particular focus on New York, Philadelphia, Delaware, North Carolina
Why The Reviews Love Them:
These folks have a lot of reviews, there are a few consistent themes that flow through most of them. Although, one stood out was Walter, who can apparently pack and move a load of heavy furniture happily with little assistance. However, the more common comment was praise for the teamwork and efficiency.
Again, communication was a big thing that earned them positive feedback. From the speed and efficiency of the office staff responding to queries and quotes, through to movers who contacted clients to let them know they were on the way and arrived on time.
As with other top companies, the fact that they were careful with people’s belongings was a key point, as was the high level of professionalism, which was balanced with an upbeat and friendly attitude from all the crews.
4. District Relocators
Another smaller Washington DC based company, able to move you interstate with a particular focus on New York and New Jersey. The Manager, Corey, likes to point out that while their clients only move occasionally, he moves every day. Which is a pretty good way to look at it when you’re starting to stress about your move.
Why The Reviews Love Them:
District Relocators seem to provide a lot of praise that starts with P. Words like pleasant, professional and painless are key in the reviews. Along with exclamations about how efficient they are.
They certainly seem to be able to live up to their managers assertion, removing the stress from many clients who were moving for the first time or doing a last-minute move.
5. Matthew’s Nationwide Moving
Technically in VA rather than DC, but as they are in Annandale it’s probably faster to get to Matthew’s Nationwide Moving that to cross Washington in rush hour (see here), and they cater for DC. They price for a flat rate and offer a military discount (others may do this, but this company puts it in bold).
Why The Reviews Love Them:
One of the thing that has to stand out in our reviews for the top companies is that they provide a stress-free move, and this is a company that gets told this a lot.
