Hello World! Welcome Friends! Almost every home needs a renovation. The kitchen is no exception — even if you have a large, spacious one, it’s possible to make your kitchen seem smaller by attempting to pack in too many appliances and furniture pieces. If you want to renovate your kitchen on the cheap, here are some tips on how to do so responsibly.
1. Paint or Replace Cupboard Doors & Drawer Fronts
Wooden cupboard doors and drawer fronts become worn out over time due to constant usage. When this happens, they begin looking dull and dirty — but painting them can be incredibly easy! Simply purchase the paint of your choice (we recommend white paint for wooden surfaces), then base coat and paint the cupboard doors and drawer fronts. You can also replace them with new ones, but this can be a little more expensive.
2. Install New Kitchen Countertops
Countertops are one of the first things to show signs of wear and tear in a kitchen. If your countertops are chipped, stained, or simply looking old and tired, it might be time for a replacement. Depending on your budget, you can install a new countertop made from a range of materials, such as granite, marble, wood, or laminate. Tile Sealing after installing the countertop is important to protect the tiles, so remember to do it thoroughly.
3. Change Your Kitchen Sink
The sink is another area of the kitchen that often shows signs of wear and tear over time. If your sink is stained, corroded, or just doesn’t look good, you can change it in a matter of minutes. You have several options in terms of shape and material. While the choice is ultimately yours to make, we recommend stainless steel kitchen sinks for their low maintenance requirements.
4. Swap Out Your Kitchen Faucet
Kitchen faucets become worn out just like anything else in your home — they begin looking old and dull after being used regularly over time. If this sounds familiar, consider swapping your old faucet with a new model. To ensure you purchase the right one, measure both the height and width of your sink beforehand, so you know what faucet dimensions work best with your sink size. There are many different styles to choose from, but our favorite is the traditional single-handle faucet.
5. Install a New Dishwasher & Microwave Oven
Finally, it’s time to install your new appliances. If you’re installing a dishwasher, make sure it has sufficient space for dishes and cutlery, plus enough room inside the dishwasher for pots and pans (if necessary). You should also take care when connecting your dishwasher to an existing drain — the hook-up process will vary depending on whether or not your home has a septic tank system. As far as microwaves go, we recommend purchasing one with at least 10 power levels and quick-cooking features such as sensor cooking and auto defrosting.
