Hello World! Welcome Friends! Whenever people decide it’s time to redecorate, they tend to spend most of the budget on the living room and kitchen and leave little money for the bedroom. However, your bedroom is an important part of the home, and it’s a place you should look forward to retreating to at the end of a hard day’s work. But if there isn’t much left in the decoration fund, you’ll have to be savvy and use a few budget-friendly design ideas. Here are some tips you can use.
Focus on the Bed
The bed is the focal point of the bedroom, so if you’re working with limited funds, you’ll want to focus on the bed and the areas around it. You can easily pick up a new duvet set for a low price at stores like Target, or look at these duvet cover sets Sleepmania options. You could also add a small throw and some extra cushions for a high-end look. Go for something in a color that is completely different from what you currently have for that extra wow factor.
To make it look like a whole new bedroom altogether, change up the accessories at your bedside too. A new lamp can work wonders, but why not add an oversized clock to help you wake up on time and feel fresh in your new room? Choosing between a digital and analog alarm clock is the first decision you’ll have to make here, but there are plenty of design options for both.
Change the Furniture Around
If you left nothing at all in the budget and your bedroom has been left untouched, a simple but effective tip you can use is to change the layout. Have a good look around the room and determine which pieces of furniture can be moved and which new corners of the room they might fit to make it more efficient for the space. You could even consider getting rid of some bulky pieces or even just changing the direction of your bed.
Switch Up the Lighting
If you want to ensure you create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere, lighting can play a key role. However, buying a new light fixture can be expensive, so you might want to focus on buying a new lamp shade or new bedside lamps. It may sound simple, but a brand-new elegant lampshade that reflects patterns on the ceiling can add a whole new look to the room. Or, if you don’t have space for bedside tables and lamps, you could consider wall-mounted sconces so that you can still read in bed.
Paint the Walls or Furniture
Paint in neutral colors can be found for a relatively low cost if you know where to look, so you may want to think about either painting your walls or upcycling your current furniture. Even a small can of paint can be enough to enable you to add an accent wall in a sophisticated color like light grey or dark brown. And, if you have plain wooden furniture, all you will need to do is give it a light sanding down and touch it up with a fun color that matches your bedroom’s theme. You can switch out the handles on dressers and cupboards too, and they will look like brand-new pieces of furniture.
Add Some Storage
Sometimes, all it will really take to give your bedroom a fresh new look is a good clean up. Invest in some cheap storage to get rid of all the clutter and your bedroom will feel like a whole new space in the house. You can buy fabric storage buns, nesting baskets, under bed storage, and closet organizers to help you get rid of the clutter.
These are just a few things you can try on a budget to change up the look of your bedroom. What will you try?
