Hello World! Welcome Friends! It doesn’t matter whether you’re a smoker or not, you are probably aware of the fact that smoking isn’t generally good for your health. In fact, it can actually be very detrimental, resulting in a variety of different health problems.
Even though a vast majority of people are aware of this fact, a lot of them still turn to cigarettes for a variety of different reasons. And in a way, that’s understandable, however, just because you are smoking, it doesn’t mean that you should be doing this in your house too!
At the end of the day, don’t you think that it would be a lot more pleasant if you lived in a household that’s smoke-free? After all, there are so many other places (referring to the outdoors) where you can light a cigarette.
If you are still not convinced that smoking inside your house is a bad idea, then maybe the facts below will convince you otherwise.
Are You Familiar With the Consequences of Secondhand Smoke?
Okay, so you are a smoker, and as previously mentioned, you are most likely familiar with its consequences. But the question is, do you know how dangerous secondhand smoke can be? To be honest, it can be extremely harmful.
If you live alone, then, there’s nothing to worry about, however, if you have children, pets, or anyone else with you, bear in mind that you are jeopardizing their health as well. Ask yourself, why would they suffer because of your actions?
So what are the consequences of it? People who do not smoke are still exposed to secondhand smoke which means that they are inhaling substances that can be detrimental to their overall well-being, potentially causing cancer.
Even if they are exposed to it for a short period of time, they are still at a very high risk. Therefore, if you want to protect the ones you love the most, you should avoid smoking when you’re at home.
Now, if you think that you are still not ready to give up on nicotine, yet you would like to turn to a healthier alternative that’s not going to jeopardize anyone, then we have some great news for you. Namely, according to the team Zyn Canada, there are lots of amazing options that can make you feel great (in terms of nicotine experience), yet that won’t harm your health. One of them is nicotine pouches which have become very popular in the past several years.
Many studies have shown that they are not as nearly as dangerous as tobacco, which means that you should definitely replace cigarettes with them. Not only will you safeguard everyone’s health (including yours), but you will have a very satisfying experience too!
Your House Is Going to Become a Lot Cleaner
We assume that every person wants to live in a house that’s clean and tidy. But is that possible when you live in a home where someone is continuously smoking? Unfortunately, the answer is no.
You have probably heard how tobacco is capable of making your teeth yellow, or even light gray. Well, something similar can happen to your home as well, due to the fact that the smoke has a very similar effect on furniture and walls.
Something like this is not going to occur if somebody smokes every once in a blue moon, however, if the smoke is present on a regular basis, over time, you are going to be obligated to buy a fresh coat of paint, along with a brand-new furniture, because both your walls and furniture are going to be completely stained.
Not to mention the fact that if you smoke inside your home, you will increase the chances of dealing with cigarette burns, especially on the furniture, pillows, and rugs. In other words, not only will you spend a lot of time trying to eliminate all these things, along with the smell, but you will also be forced to spend a substantial amount of money on buying brand-new items because the old ones are completely ruined by the smoke.
Therefore, if you would like to live in a clean household, and simultaneously, avoid these unnecessary expenses, then you should stop smoking inside your home.
Do You Feel the Odor?
People who smoke, especially chain smokers, are usually not aware of its odor, however, those who do not smoke will most definitely tell you that most houses (and indoor places in general) where people smoke on a regular basis have that certain odor that isn’t very pleasant.
In fact, it’s the total opposite, and unfortunately, it doesn’t stay in one room only but spreads all over the house. The American Lung Association recently concluded that tobacco contains more than 7,000 chemicals that smell quite strange and that are, unfortunately, resilient to various air purifiers.
That’s why it comes as no surprise when that strange odor stays on your furniture and walls for many years. Oftentimes, it enters electronic devices and outlets too!
It’s Going to Negatively Impact the Value of Your Home
Even if you’re not planning on selling your home anytime soon, as previously concluded, the smell that’s caused by cigarettes is not going to be there just for a relatively short period of time, but it’s going to “inhabit” your home (including your furniture, walls, and many other things) for many years to come.
As stated above, people who do not smoke are not very fond of this odor. Therefore, if, at some point, you decide to sell your home, bear in mind that this smell is going to push a lot of homebuyers away.
That’s especially the case with people who have children and/or pets. They do not want to purchase or rent a house where smoking is permitted for a long period of time because they do not want to expose the ones they love the most to this strange odor.
It is widely known that smoking is far from good, however, even if you’re too addicted to it, then at least what you can do is smoke outside only, because, as you can see, it can negatively impact the space you live in, in many ways.
