Hello World! Welcome Friends! For many families, Sunday lunches are a tradition. When you don’t see your family a lot during the week, coming together on a Sunday is a great way to catch up and bond. Aside from the family aspect, of course, there is the food that factors in. We so often whip together anything that’s quick throughout the week, because we’re so overworked. But Sunday meals are made with love and care, and for many people it’s the only truly nutritious and satisfying home cooked meal they get all week. Maybe you want to try having a Sunday lunch and don’t know where to start. If that’s the case, look no further. We’ll be discussing four of the most popular meals for Sunday lunches.

Beef
Traditionally, a Sunday lunch consists of roast beef, alongside some vegetables and potatoes. But if you’re tired of roast beef, you can still have the classic feel of a Sunday lunch while adding some variety, by using different types of beef. If your Sunday lunch falls on a special occasion that deserves celebration, why not treat your family (and yourself!) to a delicious prime bone-in ribeye?
Stew
Few dishes are as comforting as a nice, hearty stew. This is a hit for Sunday lunches, especially during the colder months. The nice thing about a stew is that it really doesn’t require that much work, and it’s easy to make a big batch of it, which is ideal for bigger families. Not to mention that there are so many varieties when it comes to stews. If anyone in your family is vegetarian, this is a great option for giving them a hearty vegetarian meal. You can make a veggie stew with dumplings if you really want to fill them up. It will likely be so delicious that even non-vegetarians will want some!
Chicken
Another classic Sunday lunch is a whole chicken. Leave your fancy chicken recipes for another time – a plain whole chicken is what you need for a traditional Sunday lunch. Of course, you can still season it and even add a marinade to give it some flavor, but there’s no need to get too fancy. If a whole chicken seems like too much, you can make chicken with stewed vegetables. The point of a Sunday lunch is to be comforting, so you don’t need to spend hours trying a new recipe when you have something tried and true.
Pasta
If you’re not in the mood to make a main dish and a bunch of sides, pasta is your friend. If you add some vegetables and protein to your pasta, there’s no need to make anything else. Why would you, when your pasta contains everything you need? As mentioned, Sunday lunches generally take a while to whip up, but if you’re in a rush, you can substitute a traditional Sunday lunch for one of these pasta recipes. A hearty pasta dish will give you the same effects as a Sunday lunch, but with less time, effort, and dishes.
