Hello World! Welcome Friends! A comfortable home is a happy one. If you want your house to be a peaceful and cozy sanctuary that offers a stress free experience to anyone who walks in the door, you’re going to need to design with this idea in mind! Indeed, the four elements below are crucial to making your house the most comfortable place in the world – have you included them in your interior design yet?
Dressed Windows
Dressed windows have an extra layer of warmth to them, even if the windows have insulation already applied to them. Pop a net curtain up, then a pair of drapes around the frame, and if you like, you can even install blinds or smaller curtains underneath as well.
This way you can block out the worst the weather has to offer, whether it’s storming or incredibly hot outside. Block it out, make your home more temperate, and make your room feel more comfortable and intimate as you go. Cozy windows, cozy home!
Personal Memories on the Wall
How many photos are hanging up around your home? Maybe one or two? Maybe you’ve got a whole wall of them up the stairs, so you can pass cherished memories every time you come down to breakfast or go up to bed?
Either way, the more personal memories you’ve got on the walls, the more comfortable your home is going to feel. Even a bit of art you chose and/or made yourself, or a gift shop tapestry you got from an old and magical castle you visited once – if it means something to you, make sure you’ve hung it up somewhere.
Well Installed Heating
How well heated is your home? If you find plenty of cold spots all over it, it’s time to call in some radiant heating experts and get yourself a new heating system! A comfortable home is always temperate and offers a warmth to people coming in from the cold, both literally and metaphorically.
Take this seriously in your home. If you don’t like the way your home feels, and the thermostat never says anything promising, invest in some new heating for key areas. If you have cold stone tiles in the kitchen, for example, buy underfloor heating.
Greenery in the Corners
A few plants placed here and here always make a home feel more comfortable! They’re clear signs that life thrives in this house, and when you’ve got an age-old Yucca in the corner that’s been producing leaves for the past ten years, it’s a very promising sign about how nice your home is.
So get some greenery in the corners, if you’ve got a few bare right now. The bigger the plant is capable of growing, the better!
If you want your home to be one of the most comfortable places on earth, make sure you incorporate elements like these. A comfortable home makes the stresses of the day seem small and inconsequential, which is quite the boon in modern life!
