Hello World! Welcome Friends! Getting a mattress without doing any research can lead to sleepless nights and back pain so make sure you read this article first then think about getting a mattress. Any good mattress which suits you is worth a few hundred pounds as you’ll get good sleep and prevent back pain.
Replacing your mattress can be exhausting but it’s definitely worth the time. It’s better to go to stores and check the mattress yourself as when shopping online, you won’t be able to check the firmness of the bed and might even get the wrong product.
Nowadays some companies give you free trials in which they give you 100 nights to check the bed out and if you don’t like it, you can get a refund. So, try to look for stores that give these types of free mattress trials.
The old technique to check the mattress was to just lie on them and check the firmness level. But now they give you a free trial so you don’t have to do that.
Usually, after 7-8 years, you will most likely need to buy a new mattress as its usual lifespan is of 7 years. It also depends on the quality and the material which has been used to make the mattress.
Here are some important tips you should keep in mind when shopping for a new mattress;
1. Budget
You should first check if you need a new mattress. If it’s good enough and does not cause any back pain then you should not plan on getting a new mattress as they can be pretty expensive.
There are different types of mattresses such as hybrid, latex, airbed, etc. Each of them is for different prices. If your budget is not much, I’d suggest going for the foam mattress as it is cheaper and provides the best possible bouncy surface for you in a little budget to get a good night’s sleep on.
If you have a high budget, you can go for a hybrid mattress. It has both foam and innerspring in it to support the core of the mattress. It sometimes also contains coils which makes the mattress core much stronger and durable. It’s usually made of high-quality material due to its expensive price. If you’re a couple then you should go with the airbed mattress as each side can be set to a certain level of firmness.
2. Determine your Sleeping Position
Everyone has their sleeping position. You will have to identify and consider choosing the best and ideal type of mattress based on your preference. Your sleeping position will determine the level of firmness of your new mattress (nệm).
3. Consider your Weight
If you’re less than 150 pounds, you should go for a medium-firm bed around 5 firmness level that won’t sink too much.
But, if you’re 200 pounds which is the average weight of a person, you should most likely go for a firmness level of 5-7 which will provide the best support and comfort.
A heavier 200+ pounds person can cause more pressure on their back points and for that, you would want to choose something with a firmer sinkage option.
