Hello friends! I know it has been quite awhile since I’ve shared a decor or organizing post. Life has been so busy and time has been short. I will have some decor posts to share with you as the Summer progresses. For a quick catch up, I have moved my office upstairs and my husband has moved into my previous office downstairs. Originally, he was in the Gameroom which cannot be closed off. He really needs a door when he’s working from home. Our daughter has decided she was over having the smallest room upstairs as her bedroom. Initially, she enjoyed the cozy space, but this past year expressed an interest in taking the larger bedroom. Before I could get in there to paint, we had a leak in the attic AC pan which of course came through the ceiling, so that had to be repaired. Once the ceiling was repaired, I started painting in her new room. Not sure if I’m going to share her room makeover on the blog. I’ll leave that up to her. Once her room was finished, I started painting her old room so that I could turn that room into my office. So, I will share that with you as I near completion. In the meantime, I’ve been wanting to declutter our home and really get it organized. So, I thought, I should take on a couple of spaces to get the process started. Today, I’m sharing my Entry Hall. At first glance it doesn’t look so bad, but I will say that I was surprised at how many candles I had.
Looks so nice, right? I generally don’t have a lot of clutter laying around in the main living spaces, but open a drawer and it is a different story. Let me share a wide shot of the Entry Hall and you can see real life.

Look at that collection of paint cans in the Dining Room. I’m hoping those will be moved out completely at the end of Summer. The chair in the foreground used to be in the office downstairs, but the man wanted his old chair to follow him into his new office.

This is the top drawer of the chest in the first section of the Entry Hall. Candles, recording equipment, cat brush and comb, and tripod. I’ve moved the recording equipment and tripod upstairs into my new office closet. I’m thinking of using that closet as an equipment closet so that everything that is similar is in the same spot.

Much better, but it will change after I go through the china hutch.

The middle drawer has a couple of curtain panels. I have been thinking that I will change out the curtains in the house, so these will probably go to Goodwill eventually. The solid navy and light purple are tablecloths that we use when we have game night. And more equipment. I think this is a ring light which will go upstairs.

So, the ring light was the only thing that got relocated. Well, actually later on, you will see that the items in this drawer will get moved down to the third drawer because the china hutch had a lot of candles that were relocated to this chest.

Third drawer filled with equipment and some curtain ties. I’ve moved the equipment upstairs and the curtains ties have been placed with the curtain panels. Next up, the closet.

The top shelf was filled with some of my husband’s items. On the floor are a couple of stadium seats, a bin of extension cords and in the next photo a camera.

The top shelf has been cleared off, 2 jackets are making there way to Goodwill and the camera has been moved upstairs. The stadium seats will stay here which makes it easy to grab them when heading out the door for a game. And, it is convenient to have the bin of extension cords in this closet. No more searching the house for an extension cord.

Nothing is changing in the top portion of the china hutch. But, the drawers were a different story.

More candles…and I’m sure I will discover more candles in other spaces as I make my way through the house.

The candles have been moved to the other chest.

More candles in the bottom drawer as well.

Much better. Now I have room for some linens since it is across from the Dining Room. Now for the where the candles are…

This really didn’t take me too long to go through the Entry Hall. Maybe a little more than an hour.
Next week, I’m going through the Laundry Room. That one is a disaster! I hope you’ll come back on Monday to check out my organized Laundry Room.
Have a great weekend!
