Hello World! Welcome Friends! Six months ago I would not have thought I would be shopping for furniture and decor for a new house. Yet, five months ago, we closed on our lovely new house and I got busy planning out the decor. I’ve often thought it would be easier to order all new furniture for a new house instead of bringing the old furniture with you and making it work. But, alas, the budget isn’t there yet!
Let’s start off in the breakfast nook:

***When I checked today the Casa Cortes ‘Parisian Buffet’ Hand-crafted Table Lamps were sold out. However, if you are interested, enter your email and they will send you a notification when they are back in stock.***
You can catch the reveal of the Breakfast Nook HERE for more in-depth information.
Moving to the Family Room:
The next two items have been ordered, but have yet to arrive.
***Note, they arrived late this afternoon. I’ll share pictures of them in the Family Room next week.***
I’m not sure if the floor lamp is actually going to work in the Family Room. But, if it doesn’t, it will find it’s way into the Study or upstairs in the Game Room.
As of today, the stencil for the powder bath has not come in. Hopefully, it will come in tomorrow and I can get to work on it. Since the space is quasi tight, it might be one of those projects where I can’t spend hours at a time working on it.

Your house is beautiful and I understand your desire to have it done now. I have felt that way myself when I have moved to new houses. Be patient. The end result of assembling furniture and decorating your home will be even better done at a slower pace with things collected over time. I seriously love the wallpaper in your breakfast nook. It is stunning!

Thank you, Susan! I am enjoying the process of pulling it all together. The wall treatment in the breakfast nook is a stencil. It was time consuming, but it was so worth it.

I know how it goes with the budget! We have added things very slowly over the past two years and we aren’t done yet! That rug is beautiful! I can’t believe the price!

Love your new purchases Kathryn! We are getting hardwood in our family room and I am going to be needing a very large rug. Sure do love that one! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

That cage chandelier is so pretty. I just hung a new light fixture in our house today so I can appreciate how exciting these purchases are and how they can change up a space for the better.
