Hello World! Welcome Friends! Well for those of you that follow me on Instagram will know that I have been working away on the stencil I ordered. But, in the meantime, the furniture came in! Yay! And, we love it! We went with Bassett Furniture Bench*Made 54″ Tavern Table, 6 Bench*Made side chairs and the Three Door Hawkins Huntboard! I ordered this right after we moved into the new house since I knew our long rectangle table wouldn’t work in the space. I’m a big fan of having furniture custom made over buying it from a showroom warehouse. The quality of these pieces is amazing.
Since I’m working on the stencil I moved the hutch in front of the window and moved the table and chairs closer to the family room area.
The chairs are so comfortable and just plain pretty.
I’ll give you a tour of the inside of the hutch later on. For now, it’s holding place mats and napkins.
Those are some gorgeous hinges!
The sales person was so helpful and very patient while I picked out the stain and paint color. Trust me, it took me quite a while to decide.
Just gorgeous!
You cannot get better with a big, chunky leg!
Here is the progress on the stencil. It is going to be so pretty. Now, I just need a big chunk of time to work on it.
I plan on ordering lamps, rug, and curtains this weekend. I think I may have found a mirror at Hobby Lobby, but it would require a paint job and I really don’t want to have to paint something else since the stencil is going to take a lot of time.
Wish me luck! Hopefully, I’ll have the wall completed next week. We’ll see.
I would love for you to let me know your thoughts in the comment section below as we go through progress updates. Kathryn, I love your new table! The color is gorgeous and I’m smiling that the hinges make you happy. Small things like that make me happy too! Can’t wait to see the stencil completed. Wondering if you have a good source for ordering rugs? We are taking the carpet out in our family room and having all wood in there and the kitchen. I am going to need a large rug. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
