Hello World! Welcome Friends! Boy, are we busy! We close on the Colonial on January 26th and then close on the new house on January 31st. We have a leaseback on the Colonial so we can stay here until February 11th. However, we will move into the new house on February 4th so we can have until the 11th to clean and freshen up the Colonial for the new owners.
When we started our house search, we narrowed the hunt down to four houses in our desired neighborhood. Below is one of the houses we toured. We’ll call this one Sunrise Meadow.
The Sunrise Meadow house is a two story house with 3205 square feet.
Nice curb appeal with a 3 car tandem garage.
The thing that struck me about this house is all of the crown moulding and wood floors. Nice dining room that just needs some fresh paint and an updated light fixture.
Looking back through the dining room into the foyer and the study beyond.
Plantation shutters, wood floors and crown moulding in the study.
I love the staircase. It would be the perfect spot for my 14 ft. Christmas tree.
The wood flooring is carried through into the family room and up the stairs. Plantation shutters again in the family room. It also has a gas fireplace.
The hallway leads to the Master Bedroom.
Looking back to the kitchen and breakfast area.
Through the archway is the back hallway that leads to the powder room, laundry room and garage.
This kitchen is huge and has a ton of storage and counter space as well as a gas cooktop.
Stainless appliances. The door leads to a huge pantry.
Looking back towards the breakfast area.
Pretty door that leads to the covered porch.
Pretty Master Bedroom.
Huge Master Bathroom. Could use some updating.
Looking back towards the master bedroom. The door to the right is where the toilet is located.
The other side of the bathroom with a sink and huge vanity. The doors lead to the master closet.
Massive master closet!
Upstairs game room looking back towards the foyer and a bedroom and bathroom beyond.
Other side of game room. The doors lead to two bedrooms.
Large size bedroom that sits above the study. Just needs some new paint.
Bathroom that is next to the above bedroom.
Bedroom #3.
Bedroom #4.
Bathroom that is in between bedrooms 3 & 4.
I love the covered outdoor area.
Large backyard.
Here’s the rundown on Sunrise Meadow:
4 beds
3 1/2 baths
3205 sq. feet
3 car tandem garage
Lot size: 10,550 sq. feet
I would love to hear your thoughts on the Sunrise Meadow house.
Next week, I’ll share another house we toured.

So then this isn’t the house you picked? You are just showing the 3 houses you didn’t pick, do I have that right?
This is a wonderful home, a little more dated than the #2 – love that covered back porch area – can imagine you’d spend a lot of time out there. These home tours are amazing, Kathryn! Such fun seeing them and shopping Houston with you, haha.
Hugs!

We toured 4 homes in the desired neighborhood. House 3 will be on the blog this coming Thursday with House 4 following the next week. Then we’ll reveal the house we chose. House number one is only two years older than house number two and has amazing moulding. It is a lot darker than house #2, but that is due to all of the paint choices. It was a lot darker than what the pictures show. Thanks for popping in! Have a lovely weekend!

Beautiful home. Looks like the builder was Wilshire Homes from the lighting and elevation. I would attempt to pull your vehicles in the garage. We had separate doors on our last house and only one vehicle would fit. The other you could get in but not out of.😆 Of course both ours are big.

Thank you, Pamela! The builder is Partners in Building on this house. We had the same thought about the garage and while we were touring it, we pulled my vehicle into the garage. I have a Ford Explorer and it fit nicely. My husband does have a Chevy truck that is not any wider than my Explorer and he also has a zippy Acura which would easily fit. I’m glad we checked it out though.
