Today I’m happy to share our cozy Family Room decorated in Gold! It’s an intimate space, perfect for curling up on the couch and watching movies. Since the space is not huge, I didn’t want to overdo it with Christmas! Believe me when I tell you, I have to restrain myself at Christmas. I could load a space up with holiday decor much to the delight of Little Dedicated and the “Uh-Oh, where are you going? Hobby Lobby again?” from Mr. Dedicated. Surely he’s used to it by now!
I generally stay with traditional colors, but for the Family Room I wanted to infuse a ton of gold.
You see Bessie the Glamour Cow…she’s waiting for some wall lamps that will flank her. And, you guessed it, in gold!
The tree fits perfectly in the corner and adds just the right amount of holiday cheer to the room.

I have been collecting gold ornaments for years as well as beads. I usually stop by Michael’s and Hobby Lobby at the beginning of the season as well as the end of season to pick up pretties to add to our Christmas decor.
Of course I can’t have all gold. The gold ornament with red and green comes from a collection I’ve had for at least 20 years.
She’s pretty, no?
The coffee table also got a little holiday cheer as well.
Pretty blue and white bowl filled with gold and faux red berries and greenery.
And, Cozi who would not get out of the room. I was interrupting her nap time. And, no my carpet isn’t stained. Mama needs to vacuum. Looks like it might be a Cheez-It crumb.

Christmas in the Hearth Room!
Hopefully, this weekend I will show you the foyer. I have the banister partially done. Half of the lights went out, so I have to pull apart one of the garlands. That’s no small feat since I load up my garlands with ornaments.
