Hello World! Welcome Friends! Today marks Week 4 of the One Room Challenge! A big thank you to Linda at Calling it Home for organizing this event and getting us motivated to tackle one space in our homes!
As you can see the chandelier came in and we got it hung on Monday night. We also hung the curio cabinets, but I have yet to clean the mirrors in the back and put the glass shelves in.
The piece above the bed is one I picked up over a year ago from Home Goods. I still need to attach the ribbon to the wall above.
Isn’t it pretty? I like that it is not predominately pink.
Boo and Plaid are still in the prime spot on Little Dedicated’s bed.
I have some touch up painting to do behind the desk and hutch, but it should be backed up against the wall by tonight.
I thought I would show you a shot with the chandelier turned on. It leaves such a pretty pattern on the ceiling.
So, last week I told you that we would probably be putting our house on the market. Well, the houses we looked at, just didn’t work for us. So, we are staying put! And, that means I’m painting my interior doors black!!!! Yay! The color I’m going with is Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black. I need to get on the ball and get both doors painted this weekend. Then we can get the hardware on.

Here’s the breakdown of what’s left to do:
It seems like there is a lot to do on this list, but most of the items are 3/4’s of the way done.
Finish painting walls and trim (almost finished)
Paint both doors
Change out hardware on doors
Spray paint backplates
Change out hardware on bedside table
Hang hooks
Change out all electrical plates
Hang curtain rods, valance and curtains (curtains, valance & rods I already have)
Hang up artwork that hasn’t come in yet (should be here either this Friday or Monday)
Hang curio cabinets to flank the bed
Finish teacup stitchwork (Not sure it this will make the cutoff date. Either way, I’ll keep working on it to show you once completed)
Make or purchase throw pillows
Hang chandelier (Here’s hoping it comes in soon)
Thanks for following along, everyone!! You’ll want to check all the design bloggers’ progress as well as all of the guest participants this week.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a beautiful day/night depending on where you are in the world! Go with God and remember to be kind to one another!

Can’t wait to see how the doors turn out as it’s something I’ve mulled over for a long time. I understand exactly the issue of stay/go with a house.

I’m starting the doors this weekend, so hopefully they will be done to photograph them for next week’s update. I’m happy that we decided to stay. I’ve been in quite the quandary about staying or moving. Now, that the decision has been made, I can move on with projects that I’ve wanted to do in this house. Thanks for popping in!

Such a sweet, pretty room! Good thing your girl gets to stay in the room until your next perfect house comes along!

Thanks, Annie! She’s pretty happy about it! She calls this house her “cozy, little Colonial”. Thanks for stopping by! Happy weekend!
