Hello World! I know everyone is focused on getting the Fall decor out and houses decorated for cooler months. But, I can’t quite bring myself to completely do away with Summer, just yet. Living in Houston, Fall doesn’t really hit us until November and sometimes the cooler temps come and go. There have been many Christmas’ where we have worn shorts on Christmas Day. I know, crazy! Before we dive completely into Fall here at The Dedicated House, I wanted to invite you to take a look at the sprucing up I’ve done on our outdoor oasis. Our Outdoor Oasis!
If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen a glimpse of the new pillows and cushions I bought from At Home. The table and chairs really could use a fresh coat of paint, but that will just have to wait until I get the inside painted.
I still love our brick and wrought iron fence. It’s such a classic look.
Since the pool takes up the entire backyard, this is the only place that we have for seating. This section is under the large breezeway that has two fans to keep the area breezy. The white chaise lounges are new this season as well.
We purchased four of them late in the season from Frontgate. The cushions are from At Home. Don’t you just love the circle on the back?
This seating section is on the side of the garage and pool bath. Yes, we have a pool bathroom which is so convenient. No tracking water through the house to use the restroom. As you can see in the above picture, the lounges have a little tray that can be pulled out for a beverage and snack. The tray tucks nicely underneath the lounge when not in use.
This is one of my favorite spots. I dream of turning the waterfall on, getting a cold drink, and whiling away the time with a good book.
Look at my lemon tree! Come November, we should have a nice bunch of ripe lemons.
This planter I picked up at Home Goods last year.
This pot is simply perfection.
Sorry for the cracked garage door. One of the cats, Camille kept pushing the door open into the garage. To the left where the pool noodles are, is the pool bath. You can just see the door right past the umbrella.
The pattern on the umbrella is the same as the cushions and the accent pillows on the chaise lounges.
I hope you enjoyed our outdoor oasis. We will have several more weekends lounging in and around the pool before cool weather makes the pool a tad chilly. But, I am looking forward to the cooler weather and more time spent outdoors reading and sharing meals. It is such a nice spot to get away from our daily tasks.
Now, onto to Fall!

I’m so envious of your sparkling blue patio groupings. I am getting to write a post on pulling together our lanai and how I settled for boring beige and taupe ( print no less) I’m learning to make it work but what you have done here is much more like what was in my head. Love it.

Kathryn, I was born and raised in Houston, so I know just how welcome your lovely oasis is in the midst of the humidity! It’s still very warm in the Hill Country, too. Thank you for sharing your lovely outdoor space @Vintage Charm!

I had no idea you were from Houston! We thought about getting the pool yesterday, but a rain storm hit. LOL. I’m definitely ready for cooler temps. Thanks for your fun party. I don’t really have much vintage, but I try to pop in every week to have a look around! Happy week to you, my friend!
