Hello World! We all know how much I enjoy our pool; maybe a little too much. There’s nothing better than taking a dip in a cool pool on a hot afternoon. I think I might like our pool more than our house. LOL
This house is not our forever home, but a stepping stone house. The in between house. We have been in our home for 2 years and have enjoyed every minute of our pool. I know the next house will possibly be a new build which will mean that I will need to have a pool designed and built. I think it would be so exciting to design and build your own pool and backyard oasis.
I’m always thinking ahead. I live very much in the future. So, of course I already know what kind of pool I would like to have at the next house. I have spent hours online perusing pool builders all around the world to get fresh ideas.
Pools Perth created this dreamy slice of rectangle love. I love the size of our pool, but I’m not too keen on the shape. I would much prefer a rectangle shape to go with our Colonial house. Straight lines with a clean shape.
However, I do love a resort style pool surrounded by lush tropical landscaping if it fits with the style of the house. There are so many shapes, tiles, and decking to choose from. The possibilities for creating a gorgeous backyard oasis are limitless! One thing I do know is that I don’t think I could have a house without a pool. I’ve become pool spoiled.
Do you dream of a pool? I would love to hear about the pool of your dreams!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a lovely weekend! Go with God and remember to be kind to one another!

We built the pools at our last two houses. They were beautiful, but we sure didn’t get our money out of them when we sold. Appraisers give a flat number for a pool, and you wouldn’t get much of one for that amount. So…we bought this house because we loved the over the top beautiful pool that someone else paid for! We love the natural look with stone waterfalls. One feature that I loved when we built our pools was putting in some holes for umbrellas in different spots around the pool. They had lids for when they weren’t in use.

Any pool in Texas is a good pool in my opinion. I love them when they take up half the back yard so there’s less lawn to water and cut.

I would love to have a pool at home, we even considered adding one to our current home, but decided to wait it out for our next home. How funny the pool you picked is from my hometown of Perth 🙂

I don’t have a pool in my backyard and never use the one at the clubhouse. But I do work for a pool construction company. It is like the sky is the limit and the checkbook when it comes to pool building. They are a pleasure to use and to entertain by and to gaze at the water. Even if you don’t recoup the money when you sell it creates a great gathering place.

Now that I have a pool, I don’t think I could have a house without a pool. I absolutely love them. Thank you for stopping by for a visit!!

I am visiting via Savvy Southern Style. I haven’t had my blog all that long but I did a post on resurfacing our pool recently and then because we are in Florida I wrote about the pool cage. You don’t see many posts about pools at these link parties so when I saw yours I was all over it. I like the clean lines of a rectangular pool too and the blue tiles in your inspiration pic look a lot like what we chose. We moved from the Midwest and I had never had a pool before. I knew nothing about them but we absolutely love it and spend most of our evenings out by the pool. Why did I wait so long? 😀 It looks like you have a nice space to work with and I will be following along to see where you go with this. Good luck and don’t forget your sunscreen. 😀

Kathryn, I dream of a pool but my husband doesn’t!! Wish I could wave a magic wand and get him to just do it my way. 🙂

Stacey, my husband didn’t care for a pool before we bought this house. Now, her doesn’t want a house without a pool. LOL

I have had a pool in the 3 homes we have owned. The last one was beautiful. We put in 2 of the pools ourselves. My husband said he was doing for the ‘kids’, but, we both know they were for me. I love having a beautiful pool to swim in. It is wonderful exercise. Keep your hopes up, and you’ll get your pool. Enjoy.

Our grandkids would love it if we had a pool!

I DO dream of a pool! And in fact, until this very year, was determined to have one. My husband and I have talked about having one ever since we started to date seriously. Just a few weeks ago, I gave up my dream. Reality hit me and I realized that my goal of having one within the next 5 years was not sensible. In five years, I will be 60 and my husband will be 69. It just doesn’t seem like the best way to spend our money at this time in our lives. So instead, I will still enjoy looking at them and dreaming, but just plan more trips to the beach.
I can’t wait to see what you end up with!
