Hello World! Welcome Friends! The days are getting longer. The trees are budding and all throughout our garden in the back, little sprouts can be seen pushing their way through the soil. Since moving into our Colonial, I have to admit I haven’t spent near enough time in the garden tending to our flowers. My focus has been on painting the interior of the house. However, just lately I have felt the pull to go outside and work in the garden and tidy it up a bit. Of course this means adding more plants and flowers and scouring the internet for inspiration like on sites like lamour et fleurs!
This past Sunday I went out to one of our favorite nurseries just outside of Houston with my Mom aka Betty Lou. Little Dedicated tagged along because she wanted to be put on wagon duty. While there, I thought about how many times my Mom and I have shopped at nurseries together. We are both lovers of flowers and herbs. One day, I would love to have a vegetable garden. My Mom is such an incredible woman and loves the simple things of life; which really are the best. Children, grandchildren, a good meal (cooked with love of course), flowers and the occasional shopping spree. These are just a few of her favorite things.
I know we are thinking about St. Patrick’s Day, Good Friday, and Easter. But, Mothers’ Day will be here before we know it. My trip to the nursery with my Mom solidified what she would love best this Mothers’ Day. A bouquet of Mothers’ Day Flowers from her loves would make her day! I watched her as she stopped to smell the lemon trees and praised Little Dedicated over her Rose selection. What a lovely time and what a lovely moment. A moment I will cherish and treasure.
Have you thought of ways to bless your Mom this Mothers’ Day? I hope I am as good a Mom to Little Dedicated as my Mom has been to me! Tell me your thoughts on Mothers’ Day gifts. I would love to hear them!

Sounds like a lovely day you had! My mother lives overseas and I always sent flowers on Mother’s day, but I know handing the flowers yourself and spending the day together would be much much better!
