Hello World! What are your plans for the weekend? Mr. Dedicated and I will be hitting the town tonight celebrating our anniversary which was on November 11th. Nine years of fun! I also have plans to finish painting the hearth room so I can start getting the Christmas decorations out of the attic and get my decor on.
Before I show you my new couch and end tables, I wanted to let you know of an amazing deal Mary & Martha has got going on this weekend.
This Flash Sale is called Recipe for Friendship Set. This would make a fabulous gift idea to give to friends and family for the holidays. Normally an $84 value all for $33!! Click here to order.
Alrighty, ready to see the new furniture in the freshly painted family room?
The sun was really pouring in when these photos were taken. The couch is the 52″ Liz Settee in Light Gray Velvet from One Kings Lane and the end tables are the Grand Marquis Side Table from Ballard Designs in Aged Gold.
They probably will not stay in the spot in the room. The leather couch may return to this spot and the settee will sit opposite the entertainment center.
Just look at that tufting. And, it is comfortable as well.
The end tables are aged gold with glass. Since there is already so much wood in the room, I wanted to bring in more metals to balance out the mix. The lamps I picked up a year ago at Home Goods and the little bit of green was also a Home Goods find for $5. They were putting out all of the Christmas decor when I was shopping and this little pretty was on a shelf of stuff they wanted to move out the door. So, it moved into my cart.
I have to keep a throw on this spot because Cozi the cat has decided this will be her napping spot.
There are three levels to the end tables which is fantastic for displaying my decor books.
Those are my two favorite books: Charles Faudree and My French Life. Now I have the perfect spot for dreaming through the pages.
What do you think? Do you like the mix of One Kings Lane and Ballard Designs? I will be purchasing taller lamps in the next couple of weeks. I saw a pair of gold lamps in Home Goods the other day and they might just work. It all depends on my decor savings. I’m also on the lookout for a rug and curtains. And, I want to find a mirror to hang in between the two windows. Oh, and I need a skinny Christmas tree! Any suggestions?
Thank you for popping in for a look! Have a fabulous weekend and remember to be kind to one another!

The new room looks FAB. Love the color. As for a skinny tree, I picked up a great one, it's almost 11ft, last year from Target. I'm sure they'll have something comparable this year. Happy hunting!

Love the new tufted sofa. Happy Anniversary! today was my eldest daughter's 6th anniversary, so they went out too (13th.) They got married on a Friday the 13th too.

I like your mix a LOT, Kathryn. The tufting detail is sharp, and the glass tables are a perfect choice (and with shelves!) to bring space among woods.
