Well, as promised, here is the downstairs half bath painted. I also took advantage of a nice sunlit day and took more pics in the foyer so you can get a good idea of the paint color in natural lighting.
This room gets absolutely no natural light, so I had to turn on the lights above the sink. Again, no styling. This is just a finished paint job.
These pictures were taken with my phone. But, trust me when I tell you it was one dark, dark, room. The only thing I like in here is the faucet. The granite is okay, but of course I want something different and lighter. And, the cabinets will eventually need to be painted.
It is so much more brighter with just changing the paint color.
This picture was taken from the little hallway right outside the half bath looking back towards the foyer. Things will be changing in the foyer on Friday. I have a piece of furniture I ordered that will be delivered that was purchased specifically for the foyer.
The paint in the foyer is much lighter compared to the paint in the breakfast room which can be seen in the background.
Back in the foyer, the blue chest is bathed in light and just pops with the nice light paint behind and beside her.
Looking through the railing into the dining room. It’s amazing how much brighter the house is with the new paint. I cannot wait to paint the stairwell. That “mustard” paint has got to go.
Just for grins, little Cozette posing for the camera in the family room.
It creates a seamless look as you peer into the foyer from the family room.
This picture is looking through the hall to the breakfast area beyond. I have yet to start painting this particular area. In this picture, you can see how the paint in the breakfast room changes depending on the light. It is the same paint color, but it reads differently depending on the time of day. Sometimes it is quite nice; other times, not so much.
The paint in the half bath is Benjamin Moore Brandy Cream.
So, I’m making progress. The kitchen is next, then the breakfast room, hearth room and then I head upstairs and start working on all of those rooms.
Here is a reminder of the massive
