What a dramatic difference with the trees gone! Pretty before, but much nicer being able to see the whole house now. Your pool area is lovely!
Oh yes, you're gorgeous house looks perfect now and so much clearer and perfect! I'm loving that pool area sweet lady, it's so very inviting, I bet you're hanging your feet in the water a lot! Enjoy what's left of your holiday weekend.
Hugs,
FABBY
The trimmers and Mr. D did a fabulous (so much hard work) trimming so much back.
I always cringe – sometimes even cry- when people have perfectly healthy trees cut, but it does look great.
I can't even believe your pool area, WOW! Now that to me is how the original landscaper probably had visioned…not the jungle it became from neglect and overgrowth.
Your pool looks heavenly!
Trimming the trees make such a difference! I just trimmed mine a few weeks ago and couldn't believe how much light now comes thru to my yard! Good decision on your part…..I agree that the trees were overgrown.
Your home looks so much better with the tress trimmed. And your waterfall looks so good now – things sure can grow quickly.
Enjoy your new home.
Mary
Yes much nicer trimmed.
Such simple maintenance that made a big difference, Kathryn! I'll bet you've got a lot more light coming into the house, too, with those trees in the front gone.
The tree removal and trimmings really made a difference! The front of the house looks fresh and neat. The waterfall area improved a lot- better definition. The crape myrtle is beautiful!
This is such a beautiful house and it looks fabulous when you can see all of it. Great job.
It is just such a classically beautiful house, and the trimming looks great! Good choice.
Good Afternoon Kathryn, Your house is so beautiful and made even more so by trimming the trees. You must be so excited to be moving in and to be arrranging your furniture. Remember to take the time to put your feet up and to have a cup of tea.
Best Wishes to you.
Daphne
Hi Kathryn,
Your home is so beautiful! I love the brick! it sure does make a difference after all the yard trimming. We had to have so many old trees removed when we moved in 6 months ago. Our yards were not taken care of.
Its a great feeling isn't it to be moved in.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
Hi Kathryn, What a difference trimming can make! Love your crepe myrtle and inviting pool area–what a blessing! Have a great week!
Huge difference Kathryn!! Now you get to see the beauty of the whole front and your hubby did a great job cleaning up near the waterfall…which by the way I LOVE that feature!!
WOW! What a beautiful house!

Kathryn, your lot looks so pretty! Amazing how much a little trimming and pruning can do for the curb appeal. Your home looks beautiful!
So much better! I would have had a hard time removing those magnolias, but you are right, it's definitely better. And the waterfall looks great with a good trim around it. The pool looks so relaxing and enjoyable!
What a beautiful house and yard. Yes, it looks so much better trimmed and tidied up!
Karee
It looks absolutely beautiful, Kathryn. Your house truly stands out much better now – and that pool area is just breathtaking. Love it all!
xoxo laurie
It's amazing what a little tree trimming can do! Your home looks wonderful and it actually looks larger without the two magnolias flanking the sides.
I love the waterfall by the pool too. Can't wait to see more before and afters!
Oh what a lovely vintage home. It's gorgeous. And all that wonderful mature landscaping. Even after the trimming, it looks so lush and shady. And the house now looks safer as well. Congrats on a terrific new home and a great job on the landscaping update.
Beautifully landscaped! I like it better without the magnolias too! Do you live in GA per chance?? Pines, magnolias, etc., makes me think you do.
Beautiful home!!
Hi Kathy, we live in Houston, Texas. Thanks for popping in to take a look.
Gorgeous house! I am sure you are so happy!
Absolutely gorgeous home and lot! Much better without the magnolias, but new ones could be planted. Just not so close.
Taking out those trees really made a huge difference. You have a lovely new family home! Wishing you much joy in your new home.
What a stunning house! I def agree that those trees had to go! Now you can see your house so much more and it just brightened up the whole yard. Looking forward to following along and seeing all the changes to your house.

The yard looks well groomed….I love it! Hugs, Penny
Your new home is beautiful and that pool with the waterfall….I dream of having something like that someday. Thanks so much for sharing at Project Inspire{d} ~ have a lovely, joy-filled and blessed week.
I love magnolias but the house looks so much better without them! Can't wait to see more before and afters.
Oh yes…so much better with those trees gone and the trim job out by the pool looks great. Thanks for sharing at my Show and Share Party today.
Blessings,
Linda
Trimming and removing trees made such a difference. Love your new home and your pool. Can't wait to see what changes you make.
Kristi
All that trimming and removing really gave a completely new and fresh look to your beautiful home! I just love that red brick Colonial style.
Absolutely ! A huge difference with the trees gone – the house looks beautiful !
Looks great! It does look better to trim things back a little. We have the opposite problem at our house. Not enough greenery… it's slow growing here.
Wow, what a difference! It looks wonderful….I am sorry you had to get rid of those magnolias….its sad, if the previous homeowner had done a little maintenance, you'd have had some nice aromas coming thru when the windows were open…
You've been busy already-love the changes! Thanks for sharing at Fridays Unfolded!

Hi Lisa! Thanks for popping in for a look. We are located in Houston, TX. Toodles, Kathryn
Your home is lovely! Great timing! Tree cutting can get pretty expensive! I am delighted that you shared with Home and Garden Thursday,
Kathy
Wow amazing! And what a beautiful home! Thanks for linking up to Snickerdoodle Sunday.
What a wonderful difference! We had to do the same thing to our house when we moved in. I was so sad that we had to remove 2 holly trees that were in danger of damaging the foundation, but it had to be done, and I like it better now. You have a beautiful home!! Stopping by from Cast Party Wednesday!
Greens are good but when they go out of control, they ca be pretty troublesome. The trimmed trees make the house look even more beautiful.
Beautiful home and love the pool area. gorgeous. Your hubby did a great job.
Thanks for sharing it.
Blessings, Nellie

She does indeed look better with the trees and brush all cleaned up. I am in love with your yard and YOUR POOL! Gorgeous! It will be such fun to see what you accomplish on the inside too. This makes me excited to see what home God is going to find for us in our new locale. Going out on a house hunting trip this weekend!
Blessings to you Kathryn,
Patti
I love your pool! Wish Idaho wasn't so cold so we could have one! Thanks for linking up to the Creative Exchange Link party. This weeks link party is just getting started:

Hi Kathyrn,
Your new house is so pretty. I love magnolia's too, so must have been hard to cut those babies down, but definitely not good having them on top of the house like that, and your house does look so much prettier without them.
Your pool area looks great and love crape myrtles as well, especially when they are in full bloom like that, just
gorgeous. Amazing what a some pruning does to bushes…………and to us as well, since God's the master gardener! Your yard look lovely and your hubby and his tree trimming friends did a great job.
Can't wait to see your finished bedroom. I don't mind painting but I really hate the prep work!! Ughhhh lol
Your bedroom is coming along nicely, and I am with you on that primer, so true, and especially if you are
painting over walls that previously had wallpaper……….
Blessings, Nellie
