Hello World! Welcome Friends! Lately, I’ve been on a cleaning kick with my new friend, Bar Keepers Friend. Here are some pictures of my porcelain stovetop.
The front two burners were disgusting despite my cleaning with various cleaners with bleach.
Pictures during cleaning with Bar Keepers Friend.
Now, here are the after shots.
Close ups of left and right burners. The product didn’t get everything off, but it got the majority of the crud off.
Seriously, I’m a believer! This only took maybe 5 minutes of my time from start to finish. Not bad! I wonder what else I can clean with this stuff. I think my shower might be next. What have you used Bar Keepers Friend to clean? I would love to hear.

Bar Keeper's friend is the best I did a post about it a few weeks ago. My silver cakeplate cleaned up so nicely.

The bottom of copper pans, tubs, showers (it is really good when used to remove the hard water stains off shower doors. Almost looks like a new one!!

Thanks for showing us how good this stuff works. I'll have to look for some the next time I'm out shopping. What an improvement it made on your stove. Thanks for visiting me at Your Cozy Home Party this week.

It shines up my old (21 years old) stainless steel sink like a charm, removes grime from the stove and the burners, and I love using it on my stainless steel cookware – it even removes the occasional accident when I burn something in the pot. Removes water spots/stains on stainless and the grime that builds up on the bottom of the pots and pans. I also use it on my bathroom fixtures because it doesn't scratch like some cleansers do.

I have GOT to try that – I have a black stove, but still, the same problem and everything I try doesn't work. Ever! Hope I can find it!

This is the best stuff! I use it on my stainless steel cookware, but also to clean my sinks too.

I bought some of this stuff recently to get marks off my Fiesta Ware dishes. It didn't do too much for that, but I need to try it on the stove top. Yours looks great!

If you want to get the spots off the gray round things, an SOS pad works great

I think mine are stained for good. My sos pad won't get the gray things clean. They were pretty much like that when we bought the house. Thanks for popping in for a visit. Toodles

Bar Keepers Friend is an excellent product–we have used it for years…we're old lol…but I have found I use it mostly on our Jennair WHITE glass cooktop and it removes everything without scratching!!! Would not be without it!

This has been my favorite cleaner for soooooo many years!!! I use it on just about everything, esp. rust stains from water in the bathroom.

It has pretty much replaced my other cleaners. Love it! Thank you for popping in for a visit! Toodles, Kathryn

Love your blog and great job on the stove!! I am obsessed with a clean cook-top. The spots on the gray parts will melt off if you put them in a hefty bag overnight with a small bottle of ammonia. Leave it outside. You will be amazed.

I adore BKF! They have a version of it that's like Soft Scrub, meaning it's a paste that squeezes out of a bottle and will "cling" to the sides of the shower or sink. They also have a version that's for cleaning pots, which I also love. To get the rest of the crud off your stove, you can use that extra strength stuff for burned-on food that gets on our pots and pans, I think Dawn makes one called Power Dissolve. Or you spray down the area with hot water and make a paste with BKF and let it sit for a while, it will "eat through" the grime. BKF is great for scouring out the tub; a friend of mine moved in to an old 1930s era place that had a grime in the bottom of the rub. I just got it real wet with hot water, poured on the BKF, got in there with a scouring pad and scrubbed a bit and then let it form a paste and set for about 30 minutes or longer. Scrubbed a little more, rinsed it, and I swear the tub looked practically new. My friend was AMAZED!

Thanks for the info. I'll try the paste solution on the part that wouldn't come off. Thanks for popping in for a visit. Toodles, Kathryn
