Hello World! Welcome Friends! As all of my sweet readers know, I’ve been slowly making and hanging valances and panels for the front windows of my house. Sewing is not one of the arts that I yearn to do. It hasn’t quite reached the therapeutic status painting a wall has for me. Hopefully, as time goes on and I keep at it, it will grow into something I love to do. However, my mind keeps wandering to painting my hallway. I will persevere and keep sewing. With that said, here are some shots of the finished panels for the dining room.
Fabric for the panels.
Tassel tiebacks.
One down and a ton more to go. I must apologize for so little words and so many pictures. When the writing muse hits, you will know it. So, tell me what you think. How do like this window dressing? You know how much I love to hear from all of my readers! Anyhoo, thank you for the visit!

I love that fabric- I should, I have lots of it I bought years ago to make curtains in a house we have since moved from. Just never got around to using it. Your curtains look great, and I love the shape of your valance. 🙂

I love blue toile. It reminds me of the same fabric that I have in black. I think the blue looks lovely in your diningroom. I've never mastered the art of sewing drapes or curtains…I certainly admire you!

Hi Kathryn,
Toile is such a classic, elegant fabric – one never tires of it. The blue and white fabric harmonizes so nicely with your walls and makes everything look so fresh and spring-y! It's always fun to see what you're doing.

Love the toile. It works perfectly in the room.

Your panels are beautiful. I'm wondering if they'd show off better and lighten up the room without the navy valance? Just a thought since you asked. 🙂

Those look perfect in there! I had those in our first home or ones very similar. They were by Waverly I believe and sadly enough I left them behind for the new owners. Thanx for partying at THT!

Homeowners have many different reasons for window replacement. Some are simply looking to improve their view from both inside and out of their house. A window replacement job can enhance the interior and exterior beauty of any house by freshening up its look and updating its style. Window replacement can significantly enhance the look of a house and give it added curb appeal. On the inside of your home, window replacement can let more natural light, can add to the décor of any room, and improve the view of the outside. It's amazing how much an upgrade can enhance the view of your own yard or neighborhood.

That mirror with a reflection of a curtained window and chandelier is exquisite! The lighting and the shadowy effect of the photo add drama and life to the whole scene. It’s such a beautiful shot. 😉
