Hello World! Welcome Friends! Happy Saturday to you! I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! I wanted to show you what I’ve been working on. Discovered these in Goodwill (I really do shop at other places) the same time I found the Birdcage. Here’s a look after I worked them over a bit.
Here is what they looked like before the makeover.
Lovely details that were not being showcased. So, I thought I would try my hand at painting them. Here is my version of Anduze style. The famous potter Boisset first created his version of the Italian inspired design in Anduze, a small town in the south of France.
I used two coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White followed by some craft paint I had in a lovely mushroom color to highlight all of the pretty details. Next, I put a coat of clear wax and rubbed away to polish them up.
Purchased the what nots for $5.99 for the pair. I love all their little fresh details now. Well, there is my version of Anduze style. Hope it has inspired you to Frenchy up some of your things. Let me know in the comment section below what little treasures you have found at Goodwill!
