Hello World! Welcome Friends! As you know, I’ve been working on many little projects and many big projects around the house. Nothing is going on in the yard except a whole lot of watering since we have had several days of triple digit heat! Blech! So, we stay inside as much as possible. To the dining room we go.

I love the new paint color – it seems to harmonizes with the color above the chair rail better than the first, doesn't it. What a lovely collection of china you have — a great inspiration for your new dining room.

I love the blue! I did not know that anyhoo was spoken anywhere other than MN! How crazy! Thanks for stopping by my little blog – I love yours!!

It is amazing what a little change in the "bottom" blue did! Looks great. I love your blue spode, one fo my friends here collects the blue and white, too.
Thanks for stopping by my little blog and introducing yourself.
PS – my youngest took voice lessons from a former professional opera singer when she decided to become a first time mommy at 39. My youngest has sang in a competitive classical choir for several years – so we share your passion!!

I love the new blue – it reminds me of Wedgwood 🙂 You did a great job. (Wanna paint at my house???)
I tried to leave a comment yesterday and Blogger decided it didn't like me!

Hi Kathryn and it's so nice to meet you! OH, I think your new paint color looks wonderful – it's rich and seems to balance your room more. Now your blue and white china is so pretty. Seems like your family know what to give you for gifts! You do have two handsome little bald heads in your life. I do hope you'll pop back in for a visit.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉

Your dining room is lovely. You've done a great job. I love the blue and white! Don't hate me for mentally painting your furniture in a soft cream color. (Sorry, it's a habit of mine wanting to paint everything!)
Kathryn Griffin says
Vicki, you crack me up! Trust me, I would paint it, but I can't. It's my Mom's furniture. I'm working on her though…she might cave…eventually! Thanks for the visit and the sweet comment!

Hello Kathryn
I'm not sure how I arrived here, but I'm so glad to have found you.
I share your love of blue and white and am positively envious of your collection of Spode. My ceramics, on the other hand, are a rather haphazard mishmash.
I look forward to following you.

Love the wall color with the chair fabric. I'm not sure what they call that criss/cross on your hutch doors but I love it. I'm like you. Not in my forever home but still want to make my home nice.

Very nicely done. Was this done by some professional?

The portion above the chair rail is a base color of Statford Blue by Benjamin Moore with a white glaze combed down from ceiling to chair rail. Done by yours truly. Glad you like it. Toodles, Kathryn
