1. Sample the black forest cake
Enjoy the famous Black Forest Cake right at its origin! There are several bakeries in the area that bake black forest cakes using the traditional recipe. Try the cake with a cup of Cappuccino. There are different varieties of cakes that you should definitely try out too.
2. Visit the Triberg waterfalls
Enjoy the breathtaking view of Triberg Waterfalls, the waterfall whose depth is a whopping 163m (534 ft). There is lots of greenery around the waterfall as well as magnificent rock sides.
3. Sail and swim at Schluchsee
Schluchsee is a lake reservoir in a valley near the Black Forest area. Enjoy swimming and sailing in the warm water of the lake as you enjoy panoramic views of the area.
4. Visit the Karlsruhe Palace
Built in 1715, the Karlsruhe Palace has been home to electoral princes for over 200 years. The palace is located in the middle of the forest and offers rich cultural information and is an architectural wonder.
5. Explore the Black forest area via Black Forest Highway
Black Forest Highway stretches into wine growing regions of Baden. You will enjoy the great landscape and combination of meadows, pines, peaks and deep valleys.
6. Visit Lake Mummelsee
Legend has it that this lake is inhabited by King of Mummelsee and a Nix. The waters are cool by the day but black shadows appear on the surface of the lake at the peace of the night.
7. Enjoy the very best of Baden-Baden
Baden-Baden offers a mix of cultural and historic attraction with present-day amenities. Visit dozens of museums and historical buildings and enjoy warm Roman baths.
8. Blow Bubbles in Glass at Buhlbach
Deep inside the Black Forest, you will find Buhlbach where glass is made using the traditional process. You will get a chance to blow a champagne bottle to shape.
9. Enjoy a dish of wildflowers and plants
