Hello World! After moving into a new home for the first time, you’ll notice that your room seems a little dull and drab. Livening it up doesn’t have to be costly or time consuming. A few small decorating tips can help you to go from drab to fab in no time. Before starting with any decorating it’s important to establish what your theme is. Once you have a theme the rest will come easy. A theme doesn’t have to be something like “pirates” or “barney”. Your theme can be stripes or flowers or something as simple as sticking to monochrome.
A step up from plain wallpaper is to have the wallpaper printed with a cute photo. It will make your room feel homey and take care of most of the decorating.
DIY Art
Get creative! Let your inner artist come free and create a masterpiece. You can paint anything you want and if you really don’t have much of an artistic side, opt for abstract art. Painting two lines on a blank canvas also qualifies as art if you call it abstract.
Salvaged Wood Headboard
Wood that’s laying in the scrapyard, around demolition sites and other similar locations can be repurposed. They can be used to make a very hipster headboard.

Decorate With Tape

Getting a new coffee table is as easy as painting a crate and putting a vase with flowers on it.
String Lights
Hang them around your bed for late nights where you feel too much like an adult to sleep with the lights on, but you refuse to sleep with the light off because you just watched the latest scary movie.
Turn Shutter Into A Headboard
Modern architecture doesn’t make much use of window shutters. Instead of letting them pile up in the junk yard, put them to good use. You can use a window shutter as a headboard. Simply repaint and varnish it and you’re done.
