Hello World! Welcome Friends! Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend? It’s hard to believe that August is already here. The other day when I was painting in the powder room, I realized it was time to start pulling out the Fall Decor. I’m excited about sprucing up this house for Fall. But, for now I wanted to give you a Powder Room update. The Plantation Shutters have been ordered not only for the Powder Room, but for the Laundry Room and the Master Bedroom as well. They will be ready in about 5 weeks. And, I finally chose a table for the Powder Room.
The stencil is coming along, but I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it all the way down to the floor. Once the entire space is done with the stencil, if it is just too crazy busy, I have an idea that would take care of that. I thought about putting in some moulding, but only if it is too busy.
Here is shot of the table that I chose from Joss & Main. Thanks to everyone who weighed in on the table decision. It was pretty much a tie.
This past weekend, I popped into Lowe’s to pick up a fern which I did not get. LOL But, I did however pick up a couple of African Violets and some moss.
The gold planter is from my Mom who gave it to me when she was downsizing for her move. The blue & white container I’ve had for years.
Here is the container I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I can’t decide if I want to paint it. What do you think? Green or Navy Blue?
Now for the chair choices to replace the gold chairs in the Family Room:

I think my favorite is the Estelle Arm Chair. The cushion looks very substantial which is super important over time. Not sure though. Would love to hear what you think.
Below is a recap of things that have caught my eye:
The Gemma End Table is out of stock. Apparently, it is pretty popular.
I also have some artwork that is being done by a sweet blogger friend that might just work in the Powder Bath. Regardless of where I use it, I’m definitely going to show it off to you. I’m super excited about it and so happy for my blogger friend as she ventures out with her artwork.
Please let me know what you think about which chair you prefer to replace the gold chairs. Next week, I’ll share with you lighting and hardware for the space and I need a rug. I would love to replace the flooring, but I’m trying to hold off on that until after Christmas. We’ll see…

I like the Mari Arm chair the best. I am glad to see that your powder room is coming along so well.

Thanks, Carol for telling me your favorite chair. I haven’t picked one yet, but I will definitely let you in on which one I choose.

I also like the armchair that you prefer. One advantage of it is that there is upholstery on the arms. This makes it more comfortable to rest your arms on than a solid wood arm. I love the style of all these chairs. I have 2 similar French style chairs in my dining room that I’ve had for years & they never go out of style!

I’m not surprised which one is your favorite! And, you are right; they never go out of style! Thanks for weighing in for the chair choice. Xoxo

Very pretty! I like how the pattern in the metal table echoes the pattern in the wall stenciling. The African violets are perfect for the table and the space. The 3-tiered stand would look nice painted navy blue with some spring-green faux greenery tucked in when you style the stand.

Very beautiful Kathryn! Love how the stencil turned out! I’ve seen a planter similar to that in green and it was super cute. I haven’t had African Violets for years. They sure are pretty! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

I am in love with that end table and have several spots in my house that I could put it in. I’m looking forward to seeing your new home all decked out in holiday finery. Thank you for sharing with us this week at Celebrate Your Story and we hope you will join us again next week.
