Hello World! Welcome Friends! This year has been quite the whirlwind with time being in short supply. But, I did manage to finish up some room projects that have been in the works for quite some time. Chloe’s room was one of those projects that I’m glad to say is finished. For those interested, there will be a shopping carousel at the bottom of the post with all of the sources listed.
Modern Galaxy Bedroom Reveal
This is what you see upon entering the door. The fabulous Wall Stencil was provided by Stencil Revolution. The Twinkle Stars Stencil was very easy to work with and Chloe was beyond thrilled when she came home from school one day to see her wall of stars.
Before we jump right in, let’s take a look at the before.
I think one of the boys who lived there before was a UT fan. Alrighty, back to my girl’s glamorous room.
The stencil, bed, chandelier and artwork all are stars of this pretty room. Chloe had input on almost every single item. The one’s I took the lead on were the stencil, artwork, chair and little table (not in this picture). Chloe definitely wanted a tufted headboard so that she could lean back against it and read or draw. This one is the perfect height and will serve her well as she grows into a young lady.
The artwork!! Since one of the colors she requested was a bright teal, this gorgeous piece fit perfectly into the plan. A couple of fun pillows help to tie it all together.
Since we were doing away with the fan over the bed, she wanted her bedding to be light. This bedding not only is light which is perfect for her, but is a pale gray which is perfect for me. I managed to steer her away from actual “Galaxy” bedding explaining that in a couple of years she might not really be into it anymore. I did have to promise to have smatterings of galaxy around the room. The stencil wall really helps on that point!
The two fun pillows were finds from At Home.
Here is a close up shot of the gorgeous artwork! I helped Chloe make her bed on the morning I planned on photographing her room. I completely spaced putting her little sparkly moon pillow on the bed for the first couple of shots. But, here she is. Chloe bought her with her own money at Claire’s on one of our shopping and ice skating adventure days.
The tufts on the headboard are perfection. Greg and I often say that Chloe has the best bedroom in the house.
Over in the corner by the window is the fun chair and table I picked up from At Home for a song! The chair was the last one as was the table. And the little “doodad” on the table was an At Home find as well. The pillow matches the galaxy throw that sits on the foot of her bed.
I picked up the shelves at Lowe’s. Chloe wanted a place for her “babies” and her dance trophies.
The chandelier is absolutely stunning as are the wall lamps! They really set the tone for the room. For the curtains, we went with simple white blackout drapes hung on a gorgeous gold rod.
Here is the fun galaxy throw and pillow that Chloe picked out. Both of them are, in the words of Chloe, “super soft”! The dresser was her choice all the way! I wanted a different dresser, but Chloe really wanted this one. After seeing it in person, I believe the right decision was made. It is gorgeous. The mirrored pieces that surround it and the sparkly knobs are perfect for reflecting all of the light that is bouncing around in this fun room.
This mirror was a complete stumble upon. I had another one all set to order, when I decided to do one more search and this beauty appeared. Out with the other one, and in with this one. I ordered it on the spot. I might have mirror envy.
Just look at that square finial on the end of the curtain rod! I tell you her room really is so glamorous!
The little lamps that sit on her dresser are just so pretty. The only thing I will probably change out is the light kit. I want to change out the black cord for a clear one.
The dresser is amazing to the touch. It has the look of snakeskin mixed with sparkle and glamour.
Isn’t the mirror divine?
These little tables were another Chloe pick. I wanted ones that were just a tad higher, but she really loved these. They do look darling next to her bed. The wall lamps I purchased from Lamps Plus for the previous house but never got around to using them there. I think they were meant for Chloe’s room all along. I bought cord covers from Lowe’s and spray painted them metallic gold.
Here’s another shot of the fun stencil! It really is a star of the room!
In between the bedroom door and the closet door is just the perfect size of wall for her magnetic bulletin board. The fun magnets were an Amazon find. The drawer face pulls down to reveal a little storage space for treasures.
Well, that’s it for another room reveal! I would love to hear what you think.
I know I haven’t shared any Christmas photos yet. The schedule has been so jammed packed that I had to turn down invites to be apart of Christmas Tours because I just didn’t think I could be ready in time. But, I did manage to take pictures this weekend of Christmas in the Master Bedroom which includes new Winter Bedding. So, be on the lookout for that post this week.
