Hello World! Welcome Friend! I’m itching to share with you the plans that I have for our new house, but I promised that I would show the room transformations from our previous home. Every single room got some sort of update which we completed within the 2 years that we were in the home. I poured a lot of love into these projects and along the way I discovered a refinement of my taste and style; as well as a love of stencils. So, let’s begin on the first floor and work our way through the home.
The Entryway
The entryway went from a dark brown paint which looks a lot lighter in the photo, to a complete paint job to lighten up the space.
Dining Room
It’s amazing what changing the paint can do to overhaul a space.
Study
The Study also received a fresh coat of paint.
Family Room
We hired out the Family Room and Entryway paint job which saved us from extension ladder work.
Kitchen
The walls in the kitchen were painted as well as the cabinets with new hardware added.
Breakfast Nook
The Breakfast Nook was one of the rooms that I did for the One Room Challenge. To date, I think it is still my favorite transformation. We took down the chandelier prior to putting the house on the market and put the can light back in. Look for this pretty chandelier to be installed in the new house soon.
Misty doing what she does best.
Master Bedroom
In the Master Bedroom, we painted and had Plantation Shutters installed.
Master Bathroom
Not much changed in the Master Bathroom; just a coat of paint.
Powder Room
The Powder Room was slated for another One Room Challenge, but I didn’t make it to the finish line due to a crazy schedule. I did manage to wrap this one up this past year. You can see more of this transformation HERE.
Laundry Room
I don’t have a Before of the Laundry Room; so the After will have to suffice. Paint and Plantation Shutters were all I got done in this room. We have had that washer and dryer set since 2007! Still going strong. Maybe I’ll update them in the new house when the Laundry Room gets a makeover.
Gameroom
This room was one dark, dark space when we moved in. Of course, paint to the rescue.
Chloe’s Room
Chloe’s room got a full blown makeover! She definitely had the best bedroom in the house. If you want to see more of the Modern Galaxy Bedroom Reveal, click HERE. Everything in the room came with us so I can recreate it for her in the new house.
Chloe’s Bathroom
Not much happened in here; just paint.
Guest Bedroom
This room started out as my office and then we turned it into Chloe’s Hangout Den.
Jack and Jill Bath
Paint refresh in this room as well.
Guest Bedroom
I spent the week prior to us putting the house on the market scraping this wallpaper off of the walls and repainting.
That’s it for our Before & After Room Transformations! It was a good house for us and we fortunately made a nice sum of money when we sold. I’ve got lovely plans for the new house that I’m looking forward to working on.
Here’s the Entry Hall in our new house! I adore all of the arches and the molding is absolutely gorgeous!

I’m right there with you girl. It is jaw-dropping to see all that you accomplished in two short years and it is fun to see how the spaces evolved over that time. Before’s and After’s are a great way to showcase your accomplishments. It is fun to look back and I look forward to seeing what is ahead for you and your fam.
Hugs and happy weekend.
