Hello World! Hope all are well and happy this fine Wednesday! Today I want to share with you a recipe I tried from Lady with the Red Rocker.
Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
1 ½lb of Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts (about 4 large or 6 small)
4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
3 cans (10.5oz) Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
1 box (32oz) Chicken Broth
1 medium White Onion, diced
2 dashes of garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
10 Large Flaky Refrigerator Biscuits
Place chicken in crock pot and top with butter. Add cream of chicken soup, chicken broth and diced onions. Cook on High for 4-6 hours or Low for 6-8 hours.
Cut each uncooked biscuit into 8 small pieces and stir into the chicken mixture. Continue to cook on High for 30 minutes. Remove chicken from slow-cooker and shred with a fork. Return to slow-cooker and stir everything together. Serve hot.
Makes about 6-8 servings.
Super delicious and really easy to make. The entire family loved it. Give this one a whirl when you don’t want to turn the oven on or stand over the stove. Who wants to do that on a hot summer afternoon?

Easy and warm hearted. Will have a go.
Oh, I love chicken and dumplings. I have never thought to make them in the crockpot though. Great idea!
Yum!! Trying to remember to use the crockpot more, especially since nashville is still soooo HOT!
I love chicken and dumplings! My grandmother was the only person I knew who made the best dumplings. She rolled her own with a mix of flour, salt and water. I tried making them once and while they were good, they were no comparison to hers! I'm always looking for crockpot recipes.
Thanks for sharing!
You will be pleasantly surprised on this one! Hope you enjoy! Toodles, Kathryn
This is truly comfort food! Looks delish! Thanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia
Wow, comfort food to the max, and I think I just may have all the ingredients to make it today, yum!!
Mmm that looks good! Thanks for sharing! XO
Oh yes- we have been making this for a few months now. It's so good. So good in fact that we were making it about every week- then there is the left overs. So twice a week- yeah, I'm 10 lbs heavier now & have had to cut this yumminess back to about once a month instead.
Chicken and Dumplings is one of our all time favorite comfort foods! You can't beat slow cookers for delicious, tender chicken too! This sounds marvelous, I appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness,
Kathy

I've had this book marked forever and finally made them last night–this is going to be my new go to recipe–SO good!!
How can I cut this down for just the two of us? It seems like you are really using a lot of soup. Can I use Grands biscuits?
Yes, you can use the Grands biscuits. The above recipe serves between 6 – 8. I would adjust my measurements by half. Anyway, you will want some leftover as well. Toodles, Kathryn
I found this recipe today and decided to go for it.it was awesome! My husband is very picky about chicken and dumplings and he loves this recipe.
